Please note: This is my first story and I'm nevous. I've been told I'ma good writer but still... Anyways it is post-New Moon and happens BEFORE Eclipse. Like most of the saga it is in Bella's point of view. Wish me luck!!

Another day at the Cullens' house and you could tell (it was almost visible) that Emmett was bored with the very ordinary day. I was content as long as Edward was by my side. Ever since we came back from Italy (long story there) we have been inseparable, what with him thinking I was dead and going to aggravate the Volturi and me thinking that I was going to be too late to save him. Oh well. I'm glad THAT'S over.

"How about a little game of truth or dare?" Emmett exclaimed as if he had been waiting forever to pull this.

Edward groaned. I realized that he must have heard Emmett's plans in his head. "No way, Emmett. If we do that it will not turn out good."

"Awwwww….. I had such a tortuous idea for him too!" I complained knowing Edward would be laughing if he could read my mind. "But if we decide to continue with Emmett's suggested game….I need to run to the store first."

Everyone in the room turned to look at me, wondering why. You could just tell Edward was wishing he knew why. Little did he know that Emmett was going to be chickening out for the first time ever.

After my little trip to the store all of the Cullens, except Emmett, were trying not to laugh. Emmett just looked disgusted.

"You're going to make me eat that?!" Emmett complained knowing what was coming for him and detesting it.

"Yup," was all I could say before I couldn't hold my laughter in anymore. My laughing broke Edward's hold on his and soon the rest of his family had joined us. Even Rosalie was laughing at her husband. Because we all knew (and know) Emmett…well all vampires hated (and still do) eating human food seeing as they had to cough it up later and all in all it didn't taste pleasant to them either I remembered.

"I don't want to play anymore," Emmett growled under his breath. He hated to chicken out to a dare but this one was pushing it.

Everyone in the room gasped. They realized, like I had, that Emmett had backed out. That was a first. He was the most competitive in their family and had never walked away from a challenge before. They weren't surprised of course because… you know why.

"You asked for it," I explained shrugging. I had just wanted to see him back out for once. That was going to take its toll on his confidence. "But okay… I'm going to eat it then if you chicken out," I had unwrapped the king-sized chocolate bar I had gotten for his dare and taken a bite 'cause I still human.
