Chapter One

"Hi mom! I just got off the plane, everything's good! I'll call you later, ok? Bye mom! Love you!" I hung up the phone, and realized that I had no idea where I was going. I had just gotten off my plane to London from New York City, the only home I ever knew.

Being me, Erin Langsley, I knew this was the only chance I had to get out of the US. My whole short life, I wanted to be a writer and study somewhere new and interesting. It was my dream, and when Mom and Dad told me they'd let me apply to a London university, I was excited, but nervous. What if I didn't get in? When I got my acceptance letter, everyone was so happy for me, but then it hit them that I would be leaving.

"Don't worry about me, Lyss. I'll miss you so much!" I said before I left to my younger sister Alyssa. Alyssa's only about a year younger than me, so we're really close. I felt bad to leave her, but she understood.

I finally maneuvered myself outside of the airport with my luggage, and decided to find a cafe of some sort to get a coffee. I was terribly jet lagged and hoped a coffee would help keep me awake enough.

I quickly found a little coffee shop, and soon enough, I was walking out with a latte in hand. I kept looking around me, and soon I was off in my own little world. That's why I didn't notice the screams from the mob of teenage girls coming my way. That's why I was caught off guard when the leader of the pack pushed me down to the ground. I landed on my head, and everything went blurry. That's all I remember before I passed out on the sidewalk.

Niall

"I think they noticed us," Liam said, pulling his hat down further. It was no use though because right then a mob of girls were coming our way. Liam and I turned to face them, but we noticed a random girl being pushed to the ground. The girls just pushed the girl out of the way and kept crowding around us.

"Hey, hey, hey! Make a path!" I shouted to the crowd. I started maneuvering myself around fans to find the girl past out on the sidewalk, blood surrounding her head.

"Oh my God," Liam said. I leaned down and picked up the past out girl. "We have to get her to the hospital!" I said, not even thinking straightly. Liam nodded, left, and returned moments later with the car. I got in the back seat, laid down the girl, and stayed with her in the back of the car. Fans like that annoyed me. Sometimes they had no respect for other people. Don't get me wrong, I love our fans, but some of them are crazy.

"Excuse me! She got knocked over and hit her head. She's past out," I said frantically to a lady at the front desk of the Emergency Room.

"Name?" she asked, and I realized I didn't know. "I don't know her, it's a long story, but I'm Niall Horan," I said. The nurse led me to a hallway and into a room. I laid the girl on the bed, and the nurse left.

Looking through her purse, trying to find any ID of some sort, I heard a voice say, "What are you doing with my purse?" I noticed it came from the girl. I dropped her purse and came over to her.

"Are you okay?" I asked. The girl had curly brown hair that went all the way down her back and hazel eyes that were more green than brown. She wasn't hot, but she was beautiful. I noticed from her accent, that she was American.

"Um, yeah. But who are you?" she asked sitting up.

"I'm Niall, Niall Horan," I said, thinking she'd probably start fan girling, but she just nodded. "And you are?"

"Oh, sorry. I'm Erin Langsley," she said. "Um, where am I and why am I here?" I nodded my head.

"You're at the hospital. One of my fans knocked you over and you passed out," I explained. Her facial expression changed when she heard me say "fans". I hated when I came off conceded because, really, I wasn't.

"You have fans?" she asked, raising her eyebrows as she laughed. I blushed and looked down. Great, she thinks I'm cocky now.

"Well, I'm-I'm in a band," I said quietly. "We're a little famous." Erin laughed again. She seemed to laugh a lot, which I liked because I was always laughing.

"Yeah, just a little. I have people mobbing me all the time," Erin said sarcastically. Erin laughed again, and I decided that I liked her laugh. It was like a bell, and she was always happy. Why was I thinking all this? I don't usually notice all this about a girl...
