Life is an unstable, fragile thing. At least during SAO it was. Kyle always thought this was his brother's masterpiece. But it soon painted a different picture that plastered blood on his hands. It still never stopped him on his path of retribution against two guilds. One of bloodshed and one of lies. His, a sanctuary of secrets. Includes threats, swearing, death.

I finally did it! I started this and I'm so excited. This is my first SAO Fanfic and it will be based at the very beginning of season 1. And I know that prologues usually annoy a lot of people but it would mean a lot if you stuck around for the first official chapter.

Is it a sin to kill a murderer or a sin to let him keep his life? A question asked so many times. I've always wondered if it was ever directed at me? After all, I have blood on my hands even though I never stabbed a person during the incident. But here I am in an endless hallway of white, stuck in an eternity of thought. God is it boring. But where are my manners? My name is Kyle Akihito. I am 32 years old and married. Well it's complicated but when is marriage not? You may recognize my name but you'll certainly recognize my brother's. Everyone always thought Kayaba was an only child but no, he wasn't. He actually had two siblings believe it or not and he was the one who got the best brains. Mind you we had a part in that tragedy but he had the skills to start it off and I helped him all they way.

Which brings me to my first question. Should I have stopped when I had the chance or warn anyone of the impending catastrophe? Well what's done is done. I must be filling you to the brim with questions, I apologise. I have always had the tendency to ramble on. Added to my dramatic flair, something Kayaba lacked. It wasn't that he was never likeable but he always distanced himself from others. Always the lonely one. Ironically he held sway over 10,000 lives in the end, mine included. And my sister Lisa. Did I tell you about her yet? No? Well she was the youngest but only by five years. Sweetest little thing as a baby and still is now. Saved so many people and then...well that would be telling. How about I start from the beginning? I have all the time in the world and I'm in no honest rush so I can tell you my story. Surely you're interested to know what happened in SAO through the eyes of a developer and close relative to Kayaba himself. Let us begin then...

And that's the prologue. Before you ask, yes he is extremely insane in this chapter/prologue but you'll soon see why. I do hope you like this and the next chapter will be up when I can.
