Disclaimer: Sirius and Seamus belong to the wonderful J. K. Rowling. This idea of this Sirius and Seamus is really Ailei and Khirsah's respectively, as they play them in the RPG. I'm just an obsessed fangirl who wants to play with their version of the characters a bit.
Author's Notes: As stated above, this is from The Double Cross universe. Read it! I am personally obsessed with this couple, and after seeing Dee's gorgeous picture of them, I just couldn't resist writing this little piece. I know I mangled the characters! Please don't kill me!
Seamus sat on the edge of the bed, swinging his legs and kicking the bed frame every so often. For all his casual acting, he was watching Sirius' every move as he glided around the bedroom, searching for his other boot. Seamus wasn't surprised that it was lost, with the vigor Sirius had removed them with earlier. "Just give up and waer your other pair. You're never gonna find it at this rate."
Pulling his head out from under the dresser, Sirius stood from his crouched postion, flipped his long, midnight hair out of his eyes and turned to face the blond-haired boy. "Perhaps, my heart, if you helped me search, we would be able to find it and leave on time." He gave Seamus a fast once-over and laughed. "Or perhaps you should get dressed in something more than those jeans?"
Seamus glanced down and reddened. "I forgot." He stood and crossed to the closet, pulling out a crisp, white shirt. "But it's your fault, you know."
"My fault?" Sirius responded with a grin.
"Yes, your fault. You were distracting me." Seamus turned around at the sound of hearty laughter, the white shirt half on and a black tie hung around his neck. "Well, it's the truth."
Sirius returned to his fruitless search, and silence ensued for long moments. Finally, he glanced over at Seamus, to see that he was standing in the same spot as before, unmoved. trying without success to tie a proper know. Wth a smile, he crossed to stand over Seamus, gazing down at the shorter man until his pressence was acknowledged. "Would you like a little help with that?"
Sky-blue eyes met midnight black ones, and locked as time seemed to fall away. "Yes," Seamus breathed, afraid that if he spoke any louder, he would break the spell that had wound itself around the two men.
With slow, graceful movements, Sirius reached forward and took the tie in his hands without breaking his gaze with Seamus. Slowly, a broad grin grew on his face, and Seamus hesitantly returned it.
They never did manage to leave on time.
