A/N: Hey everyone! So this is my first fan fic I've ever written but I have been wanting to write one for such a long time with the boys having a younger sister that I decided now was the time to do so :) This story will have a lot of sibling love and protective older brothers as well. It won't follow the shows story line making it an AU story instead. I am planning to make it a Cas/OC story later on but as of right now I am gonna mainly focus on the siblings relationship along with the relationship Ellie has with her best friend Skye my other OFC who will be important in this story to Ellie ;) which is why it's gonna make it different from other fan fics. Another thing I wanted to say was the character I picture as Ellie would be the actress Adelaide Kane because she is beyond beautiful and I feel as if she can pull off that younger sister vibe. As for my other character Skye I picture Holland Roden as her. Anyways sorry for the long authors note but it had to be done but please continue onto the story :)
P.S. This chapter is mainly gonna focus on my OC's Ellie and Skye with a little bit of Dean and Sam in the beginning and towards the end. I just want you guys to get a better understanding on Ellie's and Skye's friendship since it is important in the story.
Disclaimer: I do not own Supernatural or any of it's characters and I also do not own Adelaide Kane or Holland Roden they belong to themselves. I only own my OC's which include of Ellie and Skye and other characters I plan to create later on.
She stared at the school with dislike in her eyes it was as if it was her own personal nightmare, which in her mind it was.
"Why do I have to leave you guys?"asked 15 year old Eleanor Winchester with tears threatening to leave her eyes.
"Because we were so close to losing you Ellie and seeing you in that hospital bed made us realize we don't want to loose you, your the only one keeping this family together sweetie." replied Dean her older brother with a sad voice.
"He's right Ellie,"said her other brother Sam with a sad look on his face, "If you would of died back there this family would have been broken."
Ellie looked away as tears left her eyes. She didn't want her brothers to see her cry, she hated crying because it made her seem like a little girl. She was a hunter for gods sake she shouldn't be crying, but it was the fact that she was leaving the only people she loved with all her heart that made her cry her eyes out.
She had been with Dean and Sam since at a young age, they were all she had since both their parents had passed away.
"I know you don't agree with us but were just trying to do what's best for you to keep you safe, please don't cry sweetie." Dean said while grabbing her face gently turning her towards them again. She could of sworn she saw his eyes glistening as well.
"I know but it's just that-" cried Ellie choking on a lump in her throat.
"Come here sweetie." said Sam while reaching towards her to bring her into a hug.
This was exactly what Ellie needed, comfort from her brothers, the only family she has ever had in her life. She knew it was going to be a while till she saw her brothers again and she wanted all the time with them as possible. She would miss watching Dean and Sam bicker towards each with the occasional "Bitch" or "Jerk" responses. She would miss listening to Metallica in Deans car while on a drive on the open road. She would miss the conversations they would have together even if it was about hunting. She knows that their lifestyle isn't exactly the safest or the best way to live but as long as they were together Ellie didn't mind and she was sure her brothers didn't as well.
Except that all changed when she got hurt on a case while she was with her brothers about a month ago. 'If only I would have been more careful, then I wouldn't be leaving their sides for this school' Ellie thought to herself. When she found out what they were planning to do she spent days trying to convince her brothers not to send her but they had already made up their minds and would say no to her each time. They had said it was the best way for her to be safe and to be away from the supernatural. Now here she was getting ready to leave them to attend the boarding school of Wellington Prep Academy.
She had to no idea how they accepted her in so fast, it wasn't until Sam told her that he knew some people in administration that looked over her grades from previous schools allowing her to get a scholarship to attend the school. It was a nice school she had to admit with open grass fields and buildings that looked well built with large windows in display. While standing near the entrance she saw other students with their parents getting all their stuff ready to move in as well looking all happy and excited.
To her though she felt the complete opposite she would much rather stay her with brothers then at some boarding school were she probably wouldn't make any friends. She never opened up to anyone other than her family.
Sam knew that leaving Ellie behind would be hard but actually being here experiencing this moment knowing they were about to go on without Ellie made him feel like apart of him was also being left behind. 'I'm gonna miss you so much Ellie' he thought to himself.
Sam after a while ended the hug and gave Ellie a kiss on her forehead. "Well call as soon as possible, I promise you'll be safe here," he told her before walking over to the Impala.
Ellie then turned towards Dean, and he quickly came over to her to give her a hug as well. Dean was never the one for chick flick moments as he would call them but he always made an exception for his sibling especially with Ellie.
"I'm gonna miss you Ellie bear." he said using the nickname he gave since she was a baby,"If you ever need anything don't hesitate to call us, okay? But I swear you'll be safe here." he said while hugging her tighter to him. Even though he was saying that to her he felt as if he also needed to hear it to as a way to convince himself that what they were doing was not a mistake. He hated that they were leaving Ellie behind but he knew it was for the best almost losing her made Dean so scared, what would of happened if she had died? He couldn't allow that not to his sweet baby sister.
He then gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and cheek and then walked over to the Impala towards the drivers seat.
Ellie watched as they got in and said the one thing that she never wanted to say to them ever.
"Goodbye." she said with a weak voice with tears running down her cheeks.
The boys didn't have to say it back since it was their faces that gave away their misery as well. This was going to be hard for them too, departing from their little sister, the one they had raised and taken care of since she was a baby.
They gave her a small sad wave and then they drove off away from the school and sadly from her as well.
Ellie looked back to the school and walked towards the open gates welcoming the new life that was waiting for her inside.
That was nearly two years ago.
Present day
"Good morning! Its a beautiful day here is Denver, Colorado, hope everyone is enjoying their Friday-" announced the radio before it was turned off by 17 year old Ellie Winchester. She had always hated waking up in the morning and leaving her warm bed but in her defense it wasn't her fault the bed was so comfy to be in.
Just as she was going back to sleep again something or better yet someone jumped on her bed making her wake up instantly.
"Good morning star shine the earth says hello!" Cheered the strawberry blond girl, which happened to be no one other than her best friend Skye, of course only she would be this happy early in the morning Ellie thought to herself.
"Ugh please don't quote Charlie and the Chocolate factory it's to early for this Skye." she told her while trying to make herself sleep again.
"Oh no you don't Ellie Winchester you get up right this instant! I have been waiting two hours for you to wake up. I get that your not a morning person but your gonna make us late for our class again." pouted Skye at her.
"I never asked you to wait for me last time Skye, you should of just gone without me." retorted Ellie back to her while giving up trying to sleep and instead stood up stretching her arms in the air.
"Pshh and leave my best friend behind no way, what kind of friend would I be if I did that, besides I know if it was the other way around you wouldn't do that to me." She said while smiling at her allowing both of her dimples to show.
"Yeah, I guess your right." said Ellie with a smile also reaching her lips.
"Ellie when it comes to are friendship I'm always right, now get up and get ready before we get in trouble for being late." She replied while grabbing her arm leading her to their dorm bathroom.
"Okay I got it from here Skye." she said while laughing at Skye's antics, she remind her of a mom trying to get her children ready for kindergarten.
"Opps my bad I didn't again didn't I?" Skye said sheepishly immediately letting go of her hand.
If theirs one thing Ellie learned when befriending the fashion queen known as Skye Benson was that she was a very social person which meant she didn't have a problem with invading people's personal space. Usually those kinds of people annoyed the living hell out Ellie but for someone reason she didn't mind it so much with Skye.
"Yeah but don't worry though its fine" she told her while smiling, "Okay then well ima go get ready."
"If you want I can help get an outfit ready for ya!" yelled Skye from the other side of the door making Ellie cringe in the inside.
Ellie's style of clothing was completely different from Skye's. In her mind Ellie thought it was because she grew up in a house full of men that made her not interested in girly things. She never worried about what others thought of her clothing style she liked wearing her jeans, t-shirts, jackets, and boots it was the Winchester way.
"Very funny Skye!" she told her while chuckling a little at their inside joke. Skye would always joke around about picking out an extremely girly outfit for her. Except she could always tell she was only kidding. Skye never had a problem with the way Ellie dressed in fact she had told her countless times how she admired her for being the way she was.
"Okay I'm going to the cafeteria real quick to get something to eat I'll be back soon so we can walk to class together alright." Skye told her through the door.
"Yeah that's fine see ya in a few." She responds back to her before the dorm room closed.
As soon as she heard the door close she walked over to the mirror and splashed her face with water making her morning face disappear. She then began brushing her teeth and after she was done she stopped to look at her own reflection.
She honestly thought when she first came here that she would hate it. She saw no point in trying to befriend people that she had no connection with. She could always tell when a person was being real or not and when she first arrived at the school she noticed most of the students here were just faking who they were so they wouldn't be outcasts. That made her decide that she wanted nothing to do with anyone at that school seeing as they were all fake anyways, besides she didn't anyone else other than her family.
That all changed though when she went back to her dorm room after the first day of school was over and happened to meet a certain strawberry blond girl. She still remembered when she first saw her in the room unpacking her things moving to music that was playing in the background. She looked up from her bags and stopped her movement to look her instead and gave her a smile with her green eyes twinkling at her. Except what made this girl stand out was that her smile wasn't fake but was in fact a genuine smile and it was directly towards her and nobody else. She showed her kindness that Ellie only ever experienced with her family but it wasn't until they introduced themselves properly and shook hands that made her realize that this special strawberry blond girl was going to be an important person in her life from then on.
Little by little she began earning her friendship and Skye never gave up not even when she was being anti-social or when she was having one of her "just leave me alone" attitudes because if there was a word to describe Skye Benson persistent would be it.
It was a new feeling and experience for Ellie to care for someone else, wanting to know them, actually opening up to them and discussing their feelings with one another. She always told herself never to get attached with someone other than your family because of the lifestyle she had and how easy it would be for them to get hurt. Except she began making exceptions with Skye since she wasn't apart of the hunting business anymore plus her brother did want her away from hunting so she can have what she assumed a better life.
Ellie figured if she had to have someone other than her brothers in her life Skye would be that person. That didn't mean she was exactly gonna tell her about how she use to hunt monsters, she was in no way going to put her in any danger even if she wasn't apart of hunting anymore. She would avoid telling as long as possible.
Finishing her inner thoughts she left the bathroom to get ready for school. She decided today she would wear her green jacket along with her striped t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and most importantly her black boots.
Once she finished getting dressed she let her long dark brown hair down seeing as she usually had it tied up.
Just as she finished brushing her hair the door opened with a happy Skye walking in with two chocolate muffins in her hand.
"You'll never believe what just happened!" she squealed out excitedly to her.
"If this about the muffins maybe you should take it slow their making you all hyper again" she smiled towards her.
"They so do not, anyways it's not about the muffins, I just over heard from some classmates that there's some big party going down tonight." responded Skye to her.
"Oh really where?" asked Ellie trying to get intro the conversation, even though she was never one for party's.
"A couple blocks over from here, its Chloe Summers party and I hear its gonna be great, we should totally go Ellie!" she said while looking at her with hopeful eyes. "I mean its been a while since we've gone to a party together, we can dance or just watch as other make fun of themselves." Skye told her with a grin on her face.
"I don't know Skye I mean you know I'm not a party person." she told her with an awkward face beginning to show up.
"Please Ellie you know I can't go without you" she said using the puppy dog look on her face. Oh damn her for using that look against her. Usually it was her brother Sam who would have that look.
"Ugh fine I'll go! But ain't promising to dance." Ellie told her with a serious face.
"Okay no worries I have all night to change your mind." smiled Skye at her while taking her hand, "Now come on let's go to class before were late."
Ellie playfully rolled her eyes before allowing her best friend to take her to class they had together.
Hours later
With classes now over and night beginning to show up the girls began getting ready to go to the party. Well Skye was anyways, Ellie was on her laptop looking at some old pictures of her brothers.
"Okay I know you don't like pink but can you please give me your opinion on this outfit does it look nice on me?" asked Skye.
Ellie looked up from her laptop on for a second and viewed her outfit. It was dark blue dress with light pink flowers on it. On anyone else she probably wouldn't have liked it but on Skye she found out that it suited her well.
"I think you look nice Skye you could always pull off pink and blue pretty well." said told her with a smile even though her mind was focused on something else.
"Why you thank Ms. Winchester you sure know how to complement a lady." Skye said with a fake southern bell accent making Ellie force out a little laugh. This then caught Skye's attention.
"Okay seriously though are gonna get ready sweetie or what? You've been sitting in that same spot since I've been getting ready, you okay? asked Skye with a concerned voice.
Dang it Ellie thought to herself she always knew when something was wrong with her.
"It's nothin-" she began to say but Skye cut her off.
"Don't you dare lie to me Ellie, I know when something is bothering you, is it the party do you really not want to go?" questioned Skye while looking gently at her. "Because we don't have to go if you don't want to."
"It's not the party Skye" sighed Ellie looking away from her.
"Okay then what is it, do you want to talk about it" asked Skye while taking her hand in hers interlocking their fingers together. She always did that when ever Ellie needed to vent her feelings.
"It's just that..." started off Ellie then turned back to look at her and letting her gaze fall unto Skye's green eyes. "I miss them Skye a lot." That was all she needed to say to make Skye understand who she was talking about.
Skye sighed, "I know you do but maybe their just to busy, you know how you told me they travel a lot because of their jobs I'm sure they haven't forgotten about their little sister" she replied to her trying to make her feel better.
Skye had never meet Ellie's older brothers but had seen the pictures that Ellie had over their room. Ellie had also told her that instead of them being hunters that they were travel sales men going around different places. To her that was better then telling her "oh by the way my brothers are hunters who kill monsters you thought only existed in stories" no that didn't exactly go well in Ellie's mind.
"Your right" said Ellie forcing a smile on her face, " I guess I should probably get ready now huh?"
Skye looked at her with a face saying she knew she was faking her smile but thankfully she didn't push her.
"Yeah, wouldn't want to be late for the party of the year" said Skye trying to make the party sound more exciting than it actually was to Ellie
"Yea we sure wouldn't want that" She said while getting up from the bed and went to her closet. She decided she was going to wear one of her blue t-shirts, black skinny jeans, black jacket, and lastly boots to top it off. She wasn't getting all dressed up but she still wanted to look nice.
After getting dressed and brushing her long brown hair she was finally ready to go to this so called party.
"Hey, I'm sure were gonna have fun tonight I mean its a high school party what's the worst that could happen?" questioned Skye with a reassured voice only then while saying out loud did she not feel so sure anymore.
Ellie saw Skye stare off somewhere else but didn't comment on it. Skye often had these moments were she would say some thing and then all of a sudden just doze off. She had gotten use to that by now though.
"Okay let's go get are party on!" said Ellie with a fake high squeal voice trying to cheer the both of them up.
Both of them headed towards the door leaving for the party not knowing what was going to happen tonight.
Aspen, Colorado
"I'm telling you Dean that waitress was not flirting with you" said Sam to his older brother for like the tenth time.
They had finished a case involving a demon who was possessing some poor lady. After that they went out to eat at some diner were Dean was making flirty faces with the waitress.
Now they were at the motel room they had just rented and were about to get ready to call it a night.
"Yeah she was, she couldn't stop staring at my face man" Dean said with a grin on his face.
"That's because she saw you had a piece of food stuck in your teeth" replied Sam with amusement in his voice.
"What?" Dean said while getting up to check his teeth in the bathroom mirror. "What the hell man, why didn't you tell me?"
"Because it was so much fun not having you know" Sam said with a grin on his face.
"Whatever bitch" Dean said to Sam while going to the other bed to lay down closing his eyes.
"Jerk" said Sam back to him with a smile still on his face.
After a few minutes the room got quite but Sam decided to ask Dean what had been on his mind all day
"Dean?" asked Sam
"Yeah Sammy?" replied Dean
"I know you probably don't want to talk about this right now, but have you been thinking about her as much as I have? I mean were not that far away from where she is and since we've been here I just can't stop thinking about her." said Sam with a low voice. "I miss her so much."
That immediately got Deans attention and instantly he opened his eyes and turned towards Sam.
"I know Sammy, believe me I know I miss her too but we did the right thing I mean I couldn't stand it if I saw her almost die again." Said Dean while replaying the image of Ellie almost bleeding to death in his arms.
Dean then shook that image away, "Besides I mean she's doing fine, you know living the whole high school life." He said trying to make light of the conversation.
"Yeah I'm sure-" Sam began but got interrupted by a loud banging at the door.
Both of the brothers were surprised by the noise seeing as how late it was but immediately took action.
"What the hell?" grumbled Dean before he stood up and got his shot gun and quietly walked up to the the door. He quickly gave Sam a look telling him to stay back as he checked who was at the door.
Sam did as he was told and stood near the bed not asking questions as Dean checked out the situation.
Dean then cocked his gun and opened the door cautiously.
Once the door was fully opened he saw that there was no one outside the door much to his confusion, he then turned back inside and closed the door making sure it was locked.
"Who was it?" asked Sam as he walked to were Dean was standing.
Just as Dean was about to reply another voice was heard instead. "Hello, Dean, Sam."
Both boys turned quickly to were the voice was and they saw that it belonged to a young boy who looked no older than 19 with dark hair and blue eyes.
"Look I'm not here to harm you guys" said the boy while rolling his eyes when he saw the shot gun in Dean's hands raised up towards him. Even though he knew it wouldn't kill him he still wasn't up for being shot.
"Oh really? Were just suppose to believe some total stranger who randomly popped into our room?" Dean spat back at him. "You could be a demon for all we know."
"Well now you know that's not true since you did salt the room right? Anyways I'm no demon" The boy said while looking at them offended for being called that, "I'm far from it actually."
"That still doesn't prove your not here to kill us" retorted Dean before getting a better look at the boy. Even though the boy seemed to have an attitude he still looked harmless and non- threatening but Dean could never take chances not after everything he's seen. Sometimes the most innocent looking ones are the most dangerous ones. "Now what the hell do you want?"
"Look I didn't come here to be yelled at or offended by the likes of you, in fact I don't even want to be here with you two, I'd rather be somewhere else but unfortunately I can't" said the the boy while giving them what looked like to be a glare.
"Then why are you here?" asked Sam while trying to understand what was going on.
"I'm here because the one thing you both care about is in danger" said the boy taking his gaze away from Dean to look at Sam instead.
"And what's that?" ask Sam suspiciously even though he had a feeling he knew what he was referring to.
The boy's eyes then softened along with his voice when he told the brothers something they both never wanted to hear in their whole lives "It's your sister...she's in danger."
