Prologue
In the early morning of the IS Academy, the sky was blue with few clouds drifting idly by as the sun slowly rises higher in a snails' pace. Morning dew from the previous rainstorm littered the grass and leaves, making a pleasant aroma for the waking students and staff members of the academy. A few IS students linger about, heading to their morning classes for a new, pleasant day ahead of them as they spoke with one another merrily with a few giggles and laughs. A few IS Security Pilots soured through the skies over head with watchful eyes, looking for any dangers or rogue ISs that might come by to once again to disturb the peace of the school.
The whole academy itself was located on an island and equipped to the brim with the latest technology to assist both staff and students of the academy, though, there were plenty of plant life and parks to dial down the metallic appearance. A spiralling, towering structure stood in the middle of the island with a spear like structure at the very tip as well as six Battle Arenas attached to it around its base; the building is the central command station as well as the vehicle bay for the ISs. The Dormitory for the students was large to house all the new recruits, and an Infirmary attached to the school building itself.
Offshore, the monorail slows down to a stop at the gates of the IS Academy with a lone black care waiting for the new pilot, polished to the brim to show wealth and power. As the Security Team scanned the student and checked her IDs, one of two of the IS pilots suddenly steps back in a surprised shock when she recognized her, then quickly salutes at attention with a short gasp and gets ridged by doing so, fear and respect being directed towards the new first year student. The salute was quickly followed by a quiet, if a little raspy feminine voice.
"No need to be formal with me, Lieutenant. I'm not the commanding Officer here in this school." The voice said, making the pilot visibly relax a little, but a fit of pained coughing quickly worried the pilots and the security team, even the driver herself as she loads her luggage in the trunk.
One of the security agents gently squeezes the young girls' shoulder, "Are you going to be alright?" she asked as she continues to cough with a napkin covering her mouth.
After her coughing died down to struggled gasping, she quickly nods as she wipes her mouth with the cloth, "Y-yeah, I'll be fine… I'm just not used to the new environment here." She finishes with a few more calm coughs.
"You should get that checked out, ma'am. By the sound of that cough of yours, it's nothing good." The same pilot that saluted her said, nodding to her.
She nods in agreement as she gets herself on the passenger side of the car, "Very. I'll get it checked when I have the time." She answered with a raspy voice and clears her throat before speaking with a much more soothing tone, "Have a nice day, you two." She said before the driver drove up the short hill towards the main entrance of the Academy.
The IS pilot tapped the others' shoulder, gaining her attention, "What's up with you and that girl? You looked freaked when you saw her." she asked.
The pilot sighed and looked down at her assault rifle, gaining a great interest on the weapon and its form, "Remember when I was transferred to Canada just a few months back to battle against a new IS for training and testing?" her companion nods, "That girl you saw there, just destroyed every IS pilot that came her way, me as well. I mean, she put eight of the pilots in hospital beds, and the rest of eighteen of us beaten in just five minutes." She rubs the back of her neck at the flash back.
"Wait-wait! You mean that girl owns the new IS Tabene Shinonono developed!?" the pilot asks in shock, and the other simply nodded with a crooked smile.
"That girl is a beast in a battle." She looked back up the road to see the car now just parking itself at the entrance, "I kind of feel sorry for anyone that'll go up against her in the arena. That girl will tear you apart like you're her little bitch." She chuckles lamely.
"Hey! Quite standing around, you two! Back to work!" another IS pilot yelled at them from above, making them jump in surprise. The two quickly stood at attention and saluted.
"Yes, ma'am!" they both yelled in unison and rocketed up to the sky for their new shift.
The car door opens from the passenger side, and the young girl stepped out into the light. She wore her new, standard, and properly ironed School Uniform of the IS Academy, fitting her form neatly. Her short silvery hair only reached down to her shoulders and her baby blue eyes practically sparkled in the morning light. A white head band fit snuggly on top of her head to keep her hair back, and the most prominent item of her accessories was her hairclip shaped like a six pointed snowflake with a cyan blue gem attached right in the middle of the item, the small, sparkling object positioned at the top left corner of her hair.
She groans and shielded her eyes from the sun once more as she put her sunglasses on. She then quickly covered her mouth in yet another rough coughing fit, as the driver quickly went around the back to pick out her single luggage and backpack from the trunk, as well as an instrument case about the length of her leg.
"Oh, dear, are you okay?" a short woman with green hair, wearing a yellow dress and glasses quickly jogs down the stairs to get to the new student of the Academy, her large busts bouncing while she did so.
The new student clears her throat with a wince as the driver gave her her luggage, instrument and backpack, and she nodded at the driver with a smile, "Thank you."
The driver nods with a smile of her own, "Anytime, Miss Trent. It was nice speaking with you on the way here. Don't forget to get that throat of yours checked out, okay?" she said before going back in her car. The two wave at one another before she drove away back down the road.
"Ooh, dear, are you okay?" the short woman asked once more, worried for the new students' wellbeing.
She nods with a small smile, "Just a little sore throat, ma'am." She answered with a raspy voice and cleared her throat. "It'll pass eventually." She said with a more clear tone.
"Oh thank goodness." The woman sighed in relief, but quickly stiffened and adjusted her glasses nervously at the new student, "So sorry, um… My name is Maya Yamada, your home room teacher for the next three years of the Academy." Maya brought out her hand with a cheeky, hopeful smile.
The student gently shook it, "Nice to meet you, Miss Yamada. My name is Selena Trent, from Nunavut, Canada." She introduced herself happily to the busty woman.
"You're going to love it here, at the Academy, Miss Trent! So many friendships to be made! So many things to learn about the IS, its history and-oh! Did I say making friends?" Maya said excitedly, and Selena nodded at her, now feeling a little happy to see someone so joyful and excited. Maya than realizes, "Oh, we should get you to your new dorm right now to drop off your things; I have a class to get back to, if you don't mind." Maya beckoned her new student to follow. With a cough, Selena starts following her new teacher to her new living space for the next three years as the bell chimed a tune, signaling the students; class has started.
As they strolled through the campus, Selena started looking around at the new, strange scenery of the Academy grounds in awe. She'd seen similar setting before in her country, but with whole new futuristic style of the place, it was alien to her.
She already missed home.
She then looked at her new teacher, "Um… so…" she tries to speak, but fails miserably in embarrassment.
"Yes, Miss Trent?" Maya looked back at the now timid student as they continued on walking.
Selena coughs with a wince, but clears her throat, "So-um… who'll be my roommate?" she asked.
"Oh! Her name's, Cecilia Alcott. A transfer student from England, as well as an IS Representative Candidate of the United Kingdom, whom pilots her personal IS, the Blue Tears." Maya answered happily, and both entered a building. Selena sighed in relief at the cool air conditioning, took off her glasses and tugged on her collar to let steam out of her warm uniform while walking up a ramp. Maya looked back at her with a raised brow, "Miss Trent?" she got her attention as they continued on through a new hallway of dorms, "Do you overheat easily? If you do, we can make a custom made Uniform for you, if you like." She asked when they stopped in front of a closed door.
Selena smile gratefully with a small nod, "That would help a lot, thank you, Miss Yamada."
Maya giggled, fished a key out of her pocket and showed it to Selena. The girl smiled, grabbed it and unlocked the door. Selena stepped in first as Maya gestured her in, and the first thing she saw was the curtained bed that rested near the window. Nearly everything had gold rims; the desk, the fancy looking paintings, the carpet and even the walls. There was even a chandelier hanging over the fancy bed and the chairs looked to be expertly carved out of dark hard wood. Over all, the room looked fancy for an equally fancy girl. It threw her off the loop for a second but switched her attention to the regular looking bed to her left. She lifts her luggage up and on the bed and slings her backpack and instrument off her back and rested them beside the other.
Selena then turned to her new teacher with a small cough, but quickly smiles and clasped her hands behind her back, "So, where will you be teaching me for the next three years, Miss Yamada?" she asked, making her new teacher beam brightly with a squeal.
Authors' Note: Hello, Everyone! Finally took my time to edit this prologue and add a few things.
Let me know what you think.
So till next week, have a nice day/night and good reading, everyone :)
James: So... you and Maya getting along well, Selly? (I sat on Selenas' new bed as she mixes her hair and part of her Uniform on a wall mounted mirror.)
Selena: She smothered me with her melons when I asked her where she'll be teaching me for the next three years, James... you ask me. I was sure I was going to die if her iron grip didn't release me. (She continues to com her hair.). But it was good to see her so excited to have me with her class.
James: Sooo... good, than? I mean, you practically lived through a mans' dream by almost dying happily in a womans' bossom. (I sighed and looked down at the floor.) I give anything to replace Ichika with myself. (Not a second later, I was on the floor unconscious with a Selena Standing over me with her shoe on hand.)
Selena: (Walks back over to the mirror to continue sprucing herself up.) One of these days, James... One of these days.
