Hermione sat down on the couch in the Gryffindor Common door and started to do her Potions essay. She looked around to see if anyone else was in there with her. The only other person was her blue eyed, red headed friend, Ron Weasley. She sighed hoping he would notice her. He looked up from the Quiddich magazine he was reading.
"Hey Hermione." He said.
"Hi Ron. What are you doing?" She asked, not looking up from her essay, so he wouldn't see her blushing.
"Oh nothing, just reading a magazine, that's all. You?"
"Potions essay. Shouldn't you get started on yours? It's due in 3 days." She actually looked up this time.
Ugh! Why do I always have to say something annoying like bug him about his homework? No wonder why he doesn't like me.
"Right. Well, knowing me, I'll probably do it the night before." Ron said.
Hermione laughed at this, and knew it was true.
No wonder why I like him so much. He's so cute, and funny, and smart..(well, maybe not school wise). But still, he's so dreamy, with his muscular arms, and his nice tall body...
"Hermione?" Ron asked.
Hermione snapped out of her thought and looked back down at her essay, blushing.
"Hermione, are you OK?" Ron asked.
"Yes, I'm fine." She said, her voice shaking.
"Want to play truth or dare?" Ron asked.
Hermione looked up. "Truth or dare? That's such a muggle game." Hermione laughed.
"Well, do you want to play it anyway? Some of these muggle games are actually kind of fun."
"Sure. You're first. Truth or dare?"
"Dare."
"Dare? OK, hmmm... I dare you to go into your room, scream at the top of your lungs, jump up and down. Then run away."
"Won't I wake everyone else?"
"That's the point."
"OK, I guess I'll do it." Ron said, and walked up and into his room. Hermione heard him screaming, and his roomates yelling, and laughed. She was rolling around on the floor when he got back.
"OK, it's your turn now, truth or dare?" Ron asked Hermione.
"OK, truth."
"OK, do you like anyone?"
"Yes."
"Who?" Ron asked, sitting up.
"Wait until the next turn to ask." Hermione said, waving her finger and smiling.
"OK, ask me."
"Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"OK, who do you like?"
"Oh, god, um..."
"Ron, just say it, it can't be that hard."
"Promise you won't laugh?"
"I promise."
"You." Ron frowned and looked her in the eyes. "I've liked you for a while now, but I was too afraid to admit it."
Hermione looked deep into his eyes and smiled. She then got off of the couch and walked over to wear he was standing. Ron stood up. Ron leaned in for a kiss, slowly, because he wasn't if Hermione would approve, but once she did the same, he kissed her passionately. Once they broke apart, they heard laughter and turned to see Harry, Neville, Dean and Seamus watching them and laughing. Ron and Hermione blushed. But then Hermione turned back to Ron.
"They just don't get what love is." Ron said.
"Love? Ronald, do you love me?" Hermione said, just a little above whispering.
"I always have." Ron said and kissed her again.
10 Years Later
Ron's alarm clock went off and he checked the time. 7:00. He looked beside him and saw his beautiful wife, Hermione, still asleep. Hermione didn't work now because she had to stay home and take care of the children. Ron had become an auror, along with Harry and made good money, so they were OK financially. Hermione was now pregnant with their 2nd child. They already had a daughter, Rose, who was 1 and a half now. They were expecting their next child in about 2 months. Ron was happy.
