Welcome to the inaugural chapter of Project S, a whole new universe of Sonic the Hedgehog fan fiction.

Oh, wait...never mind.
This is going to be an incredibly long story, so long, in fact, that I have to divide it up into different blocks.
First, it will be divided into sagas. Each saga will open with a prelude, like you are going to read next. The prelude will hint at the antagonist of the saga, and will set the stage for the events about to happen.
Each saga will be divided into books. This requires no explanation. (Truth be told, I couldn't think of one)
Each book will be divided into chapters. This definitely requires no explanation. (Seriously, it doesn't. Stop asking.)
At the end of each book will be the Author's Notes, where you can find information about upcoming additions to the series, as well as notices of down time.
The series will be updated one chapter at a time, so it will take a very long time to get to the end.
Also, along the way, I will be asking for reader suggestions for plot events. Although I have the basic plot in mind from start to finish, I'm kind of pulling the intervening content out of my ass as I go.
All that out of the way, welcome to Saga 1 of what may be the longest fan fiction series ever...
