Elizabeth's POV
I was sitting in the chair in front of the desk writing a report on Beast-type monsters. Syrus, now a Ra, sat beside me writing his own report. I finished mine and read it over thoroughly. After making sure everything was in order, I crawled into bed and drifted.
Syrus and I walked through the door to my dorm room. "I had a great time tonight," I said. "Same here," Syrus replied. He gave me a small hug and I noticed the moon shining through the window. It was full. I felt my muscles tense as my claws formed. I transformed fully and leapt at him, biting and scratching. When he was dead, I walked away into the forest.
I awoke with a start. I was panting and breaking out in a cold sweat. "Elizabeth, what's wrong?" Syrus asked sleepily. "Nothing, just a bad dream." "Want to talk about it?" "I lost you; let's leave it at that." "Liz, you know I'll never leave you." "I know; I guess it's just that I haven't gotten over killing all those people." "You killed me in your dream, didn't you?" he asked. "Yes." I said and quietly cried into his shoulder. He rubbed my back and when I calmed down, he wiped away my tears. "Elizabeth, like I said, I'll never leave you. You mean too much to me and I don't know what I'd do without you." "Thanks," I said as I yawned. I closed my eyes. "Good night, Sy." "Good night, Elizabeth."
