She was His Lily

Remus and Harry are cleaning out Serius' room after his death, when Harry finds a picture of a girl he doesn't recognize, raising questions that Remus finds painful to answer.

Harry sat on Sirius' bed in Grimauld Place. He was sorting through things on the bed side table wile Remus worked through the mess that was the desk. Harry picked up a picture of five smiling people. He recognized almost all them immediately, Remus, James with his arm around Lily, and Sirius holding a girl with super short brown hair and deep sea blue eyes that he didn't know.

"Uncle Moony." Harry said to get the werewolf's attention.

"Yes?" Remus said looking up from a stack of papers.

"Who's this girl with all of you?" Harry asked crossing the room and handing over the picture.

"I don't belive it." Remus said after examining it for a moment, "Its Isa. Isabella Tandish."

"Sorry who?"

"You wouldn't know, we didn't really like to talk about her." Remus said face falling slightly, "She was Sirius' girlfriend."

"What happen?"

"Well, you deserve the whole story," Remus said staring at the picture, "They met at Hogwarts. She was the only person capably of giving him a run for his money, but she had a good head and kept him out of a lot of trouble too. To be quit honest I saw them getting married before James got the nerve to purpose to Lily. The night this was taken Sirius showed me the ring he bought her.

"She disappeared the next day, she was close to, if not at, the top of Voldemort's hit list. It broke all of our hearts, Sirius couldn't get out of the bed for a good three days, and then when I found out she'd told him yes that nigh I cried for him. Sirius was always kind of a commitment phobiac. And that fallowed by… it broke his sprit." Remus trailed off tears sliding down his cheeks. Harry felt tears of his own as his glasses began to fog.

"Fallowed by what?"

"Your parents died about two weeks after this picture."

"So she was it. She was his 'one'"

"Yeah. To put it in perspective, she was to him what Lily was to James. She was his Lily."
