A poem that shows my darker side (come to the dark side… we have cookies. xD), about when Edward leaves Bella in New Moon. I was listening to Good Charlotte's "Wounded" and I got kinda inspired, since practically all of their songs fit that book. Enjoy!

All smiles and goodness
Out on the stage
Where no one sees the flood of tears start to engage
From the main actress' eyes
She's gotten so good at pretending,
Everyone believes all her lies.
Outside, a hard, impenetrable shell,
Inside, a painful, endless hell.
A piece gone astray,
Of the once sealed heart.
Everything hurts,
Every last part.
Inescapable pain
She lays there, so confused and broken in the rain.
Life has no meaning
For her anymore,
Nothing left in her being,
Dead to her core.
She used to smile
And banish the bad away
But she hasn't done so in a while
Ever since he left that day.
She is lost in this world
A typical thing,
That often occurs
When one takes that tentative step
An Attempt At Love.
