Hey, hey, hey?! Did you miss me? Hahaha! Well, I'm now…writing...a one-shot! Everything seems to be busy at school and all that. BUT!! I want to write this to a person who kept saying I have to write. And this is Jasper/Alice! Yep, and I thought I'd never write them again.

I don't own Twilight…not yet. YET!

Narrator's POV

Jasper Whitlock is a writer and as a habit, he walks the beach to refresh his mind. He is young, sweet and most of all, handsome! But even with these characteristics, he found himself alone most of the time. One day, he was walking along the shore. As he looks down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day and at first thing at the morning.

So he began to walk faster to get a better view. As he got closer, he saw that it was a girl. She was petite and was very…beautiful. Jasper can't help but to think. He took an involuntary step forward. He shook his head, trying but failing to erase the thoughts from his mind.

He noticed that she wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean. She looks like an angel. Jasper thought. As the morning sun shine through the woman's face. But what was she doing here?

As he got closer, he called out, "Good morning ma'am. Um, I didn't mean to pry and all…but what are you doing?"

The woman paused, smiled at him that made Jasper's heart drum faster. "Throwing starfish in the ocean." She answered with an amused tone.

"I guess I should've asked, why are you throwing starfishes in the ocean?" he almost mumbled. He cursed himself for looking like an idiot to someone so angelic.

"The sun is up, and the tide is going out, and if I don't throw them in, they'll die." She replied, returning to her project. Jasper was baffled by the answer.

"But, ma'am—"

"It's Alice. You sound way too formal for your age, young man." She teased and smiled brightly up to him. Alice. Alice. Alice. Jasper couldn't help but to smile back and he lost his trail of thought. Where was I? Oh, right…

"But, Alice, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of the beach, and starfishes all along it. You can't possibly make a difference."

Alice listened politely. Then she bent down gracefully, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said, "It made a difference for that one."

Jasper was again, shocked and his heart was on wild. She smiled sweetly up to him.

"What, are you just going to stand there and stare at me like I'm some goddess? Like you said, there are miles and miles to go; you might as well help me." She grinned.

At that, Jasper started to pick up a starfish and said, "I'm Jasper, by the way, you sound way too formal for your age if you called me 'young man'."
