Karin closed the door behind her, and felt right away that something was not right.

"What about these spirits?" she asked, sensing an upcoming headache. "The puppy of neighbours died, or something?"

Yuzu sat by the table, head down, and sobbed. Father didn't look much better.

"Well, what happened?"

Yuzu lifted the red-rimmed eyes at her sister.

"Karin-chan! Onii-chan brought a man home!"

Karin blinked.

"What a tragedy is it? Even Ichi-nii can have pals."

"But he..." Yuzu's eyes filled with tears again. "He is..."

Isshin lost it. He cried with a grief, jumped to his feet, and ran towards mother's eternal poster.

"Masaki...!"

"... it's my fault our son turned like... this...!" came from downstairs.

"You sure I can stay here?" Grimmjow asked, looking almost troubled, except for the mischievous sparkles in his eyes.

"I'm not! You invited yourself!" Ichigo blurted, his ears burning. "And you... you had to do it in front of my family! Poor Yuzu, she's only eleven years old! How will I explain it to them now?"

"But I can stay here...?" Grimmjow rather stated than asked, drawing near and brushing against Ichigo's shoulder in a very feline way.

Ichigo didn't stir, though it was visibly hard.

"If you behave decently," he said finally.

"I will," Grimmjow assured in a tone indicating that "decent" wasn't in his vocabulary.

"And you promise you'll never do it in front of my family?" Ichigo inquired, aware he could as well cry for a moon.

"I promise I'll never do it in front of your family," Grimmjow whispered into his ear, and then moved lips lower.

Ichigo closed his eyes.

"Only... don't tell me to sleep in the closet."
