Hey guys,

Ok, I know that I didn't complete 'Mercy' or 'On days like this' but I had this story in my story folder for SO LONG that I felt that it deserves a chance to be posted.

So this is technically a one-shot, and a small drabble I had written.

Anyways, please review and enjoy reading XD

Assassins can be many things. In many different ways too. They can be spies, shooters, and god knows what else. But everybody knows that trust is not something that will be well kept if handed to them.

However, if you are in the avengers, trust is something valuable apparently.

For every tiny thing, trust is a factor that is always there.

And it's hard for the assassins - Clint and Natasha - to keep every secret, well, a secret. Sometimes it slips out, and they are blamed from everyone as a liar.

Everyone except Tony Stark, who simply shrugs it off as if it's no big deal. Why? They don't know, but they honestly don't need to go deeper. More secrets to hold, more accident-prone they are, so they just keep the question lingering about, ignoring how badly they wanted to find out the answer.

They keep making mistakes, get scolded by a few, and ignored by the others, but they continue trying. Because sometimes they need to be humans too.

They need to be trusted and need someone to trust on.

They can't stay hiding for the rest of their lives and continue running away from humanity.

One day, Clint can't take it anymore and asks Tony why he's so calm when they let it slip sometimes. Tony just smiles and asks, "Can I trust you?". To this Clint shrugs and replies, "I…I dunno".

At this, Tony chuckles and lays one hand on the assassin's shoulder before continuing. "You know, I used to be scared of people" he said with a smile, which left Clint baffled.

Tony Stark?

Afraid of people?

The billionaire who loved giving speeches to the world and saved it countless times, was scared of people? That didn't even seem possible.

"I never could trust people, because I thought they would betray me. And these people were normal, very trustable people. Yet I only had faith in my robots and non-living things. But…I changed that. And sure, I made mistakes along the way, like you. So I understand…I get it...I know how freaking hard it is to try and trust someone...Well, in this case, you're an idiot and I'm a genius, so you would make more mistakes than me..." Tony said with a smirk.

"That's….Thanks man" Clint replied, completely shocked, bewildered.

He was able to relate to him, that's why he let them off the hook.

And because he had also changed like him, or in his case had tried to change.

"That's what I'm here for Bird-Brain. To give you some actual information in that stupidly tiny brain of yours..." Tony replied with a chuckle, before turning and leaving to his lab.

Clint just stood there, unsure of what to do. But then he thought, If that man could change with mistakes, maybe…maybe we could too. And I'm going to start with Tony's secret first…
