Last Embrace

"Nii-san?" said Sasuke. "Yes otouto?" asked Itachi. "Nii-san, will you help me with my shurkien practice?" asked the younger of the two. "No, not right now. I'm busy." replied
Itachi. With that he left, and Sasuke's smile that was once happy, turned into a sad frown. There stood Sasuke in the middle of the training grounds.

Do you remember those days? I bet you do. Ever since the day I came home to find our- MY clan slaughtered, I've felt nothing but hatred. Pure hatred for killing everyone close to me. Everytime I saw you, I would take the opportunity to kill you. To harm you in some way. But I knew I could never do it. At least, until now that is.

There you lie, on the ground like a cripple. You lie one your side with your knees to your chest. Your Akatsuki cloak is filthy and tattered. You lie there coughing with blood running down your face like tears.

Truth be told, underneath all of that hatred, I loved you. I genuinely loved you. You were my aniki and I was your otouto. We were brothers and we stayed brothers. We went through everything together.

You lie on the ground, coughing. Coughing up blood. I raise my sword up and strike down. Then, it happened. I finally got what I wanted. I felt triumphant yet deprived of my happiness all of a sudden at the same time. You were finally dead.

"Itachi." I said confidently. "Otou-san.." you said, your voice barely an audible whisper, as you smiled your last smile with blood, tears, and rain running down your face."You.. finally got what you wanted." You said. No. No I didn't get what I wanted. I never really wanted to kill fact, I never wanted you to die. I wanted you to protect me. "I.. I love you otouto." You said , your eyes closing, your voice fading and your breathing slowing. You were now officially dead. Then, the dam broke. I couldn't take anymore. I pick you up, tears running down my face. "Love you to, Nii-san." I said even though it was muffled and a little shaky. I knew you heard it though. With that said, you smiled softly while I gave you your last embrace.
