Broken Hearts and Ice-Cream
Gol sat on his sofa and remembered the days un-welcomed events with a depressive sigh;
"Naiya? Where are you?" Gol shouted, walking through Rock Village. He was here to see his much loved girlfriend, who was currently studying the Lost Precurson City just off the coast nearby. Unusually there was no answer, by now she would be running towards him and throwing her arms around his neck. He walked towards the Town's Hero but stopped dead in his tracks. There was his girlfriend sat on the Hero's lap flirting away. Gol's heart sank and he instantly felt unloved and worthless. He turned away and flinched when she called his name in surprise;
"Gol! Wait!" he did not. He carried on walking, feeling worthless and heartbroken. He eventually came to the Warp Gate at the deserted Blue Sage's Lab and leapt through, returning to the citadel in which he and his sister shared. She would not be there to greet him, since she was away with the Yellow Sage researching mosses.
Gol sighed after watching the memory for the ninth time in his head. Flicking the TV channel he came to a programme which was just ending, showing a couple sat on a cliff watching a sunset. He sighed again and changed channel, which was showing a romantic film where a couple were having a romantic dinner. Another channel bought a woman crying over her husbands body and another a wedding.
Half of a depressive hour passed and Samos walked into the citadel. He looked as old as he always did. His gaze came upon the teenage Gol, slouched across the Sofa with a pair of pink fluffy bunny slippers on and several tubs of Ice-Cream, some empty and some half full. Samos, never understanding young love, walked over to the heartbroken Gol and sat next to him.
"Gol? What's happened?" Samos asked, putting his arm around the shoulders of the young orphaned teen. Gol did not reply but let his solemn face tell the story. "Hmm... I see. Come on. Get up. Its time or bed, its late." Samos said, pulling Gol to his feet. The sound of his slippers could be heard scuffing the floor and his soft white dressing gown was surfing the air behind him.
Gol's bedroom came into view and he climbed onto his bed. Samos sighed and walked over to Gol, who was laying on his side with his back to Samos and his hands over his heart. Gol made no sound as Samos pulled the covers over him and tucked him in.
"Goodnight, Gol." Samos said, walking out of the room and turning off the light. He looked at the six empty chocolate Ice-Cream tubs and began picking them up and putting them into a nearby bin. He then folded all of the blankets up that were on the sofa and turned the TV off.
"I'll think I will stay here tonight, just to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." Samos said down the phone to his daughter Keira.
"Okay, Daddy. Tell me how he is in the morning." she replied, being genuinely worried.
"Teenage love... He thinks he has problems now... Back in my day..." Samos trailed off, getting comfortable on the sofa for the night.
