Kermit the Frog was always a nice frog. His breakup with Miss Piggy was rough, especially when other frogs yelled "Why do you always date pigs?" as his new girlfriend was also a pig. Kermit was reading a CBC news article regarding hate when he heard his cousin Pepe died.
Kermit was telling his new gf, Denise, about his plans to attend Pepe's funeral when she screamed "Kermit, why are you going see that bigoted frog's funeral." Kermit then shouted "Uhhhh, it's not what it looks like." Denise then shouted back "please don't tell me you've joined a Green Pride group, those frogs hate pigs."
Kermit, who was frustrated, then said "I never knew him well, but he never said those things. " Denise then, with a leer in her eyes showed him a picture of Pepe in KKK garb on her iphone. Kermit finally shouted "the frog who wore that wasn't my cousin and was stealing his identity" and pulled out a photo comparing the two frog and the Pepe had a sister who was Jewish. Denise finally calmed down after a while and they hugged.
At the funeral, Kermit gave a speech. Before he started, he glanced at Pepe's family, which included many well known frogs such as Tiana, Michigan J. Frog, and even Poliwhirl. Kermit said "Pepe was a good frog and I had met him several times. I may have not known him well, but he was one of the least hateful individuals I knew. I know that since shortly before the election, another frog who looks like Pepe and even calls himself Pepe has said some horrible things, but he was not my friend . Pepe donated his money in his will to help the legalization of cannabis."
Kermit then saw Pepe's grave and left a lilypad saying "feels good man." Kermit then walked back home to see Denise. Denise had changed her mind and had read a short story Pepe wrote when alive, which was about he was a nice friendly frog who liked smoking cannabis. Kermit then nodded and he then, for closure, smiled and hoped that frogs would have a better future free of hate.
