The Naughty List

It was the day before Christmas, and Team 7 was wasting away precious hours of their life waiting for their sensei Kakashi, who never failed to be less than two hours late. Sakura sat on the bridge and yawned wrapping a coat around her sixteen-year old body, her short pink hair blowing about her face. Sasuke stood nearby with an ever present scowl on his face glaring what could be called a death glare at a blonde-haired boy. Naruto, who was glaring back, stood right behind his teammate Sakura. If looks could kill, Sakura would be the only member of team 7.

Sakura turned her head towards her former crush and the Kyuubi vessel and rolled her eyes. "What are you guys arguing over now?" She asked in a very irritated tone, a few veins appearing on her head as she said it. Team seven had been united again for two years now, and you'd think that they would've matured just a little. But no. The blonde jounin still loved ramen and the chuunin Sasuke was still as cold as ever. She had told him you know. Killing Itachi would make no one happy. He was just lucky he got off with hours of community service.

Naruto, still keeping a steady glare with the raven-haired boy's sharigan eyes answered mockingly. "Teme here doesn't believe in Santa Claus."

Sakura twitched. That's what they had been arguing about? She sighed again. Sometimes they could be so childish. It was bad enough they were fighting, but they were fighting over the existence of Santa Claus? That's about as bad as it gets.

Sakura watched them for a minute, you know, it was kind of funny, in a way. There was light-hearted Naruto, who believed in Santa. He was probably on the nice list. Just willing that to happen to him, hoping the big guy will put him on the better list. He was always working towards making his life better, yet always depending on other people to help…then there was Sasuke. Went after what he wanted, not wanting the help form people around him that he needed. He wasn't going to be good just so Santa could put him on a better list. If he was bad enough, he would have to go on the bad list, up to the big guy or not.

Then, she guessed, there was her. She didn't depend on other people, nor did she push them away. Sakura stood alone by herself, finding her own way, recieveing and giving help as she went. She wouldn't really fit on either list. In a way she fit on both lists. She smiled lightly to herself.

A devilish grin lit up her face, not visible to the two boys in a glaring contest.

"That's probably because he's on the naughty list." She said innocently.

Naruto, hearing this fell to the floor with laughter and began rolling around clutching his stomach. Sasuke twitched and shot her a glare. She stuck her tongue out back at him.

Naruto laughed for a minute or two and caught his breath, standing up. "Whew," He whistled. "Naughty list. That's funny Sakura-chan."

Sasuke twitched again. "How do you know I'm on the 'Naughty list'?"

Sakura looked at him and blinked, before bursting into laughter. Naruto snickered at this and Sasuke sent both of them vicious glares.

Sakura regained her composure. "Ah. Now that was funny. Isn't it obvious?"
