It was a very smooth mission. Nick has been ordering the Avengers for missions, and this one, they thought, is gonna be just one of their very easy mission.
The mission was simple: to locate and destroy a secret root base of Hydra's leftovers. SHIELD detected unusual activity and energy there. Seeing as the place was somewhere on the snow mountain, it might be dangerously important. Especially when the mountains were stormier than usual.
"Cap, you see it?"
"Yeah. The huge ice shards at the back of that mountain?"
"Yep. I'm heading there. I'll tell you to come in if it actually is a party," Tony mumbled, earning a weird face from Steve though he know Tony can't see it. The rest of the Avengers watch as Iron Man flew faster to the back of the mountain infront of them from the jet.
Thor walks forward. "What is there, man of iron?" for a second, Tony did not answer. Everyone glanced at eachother. "Tony," called Natasha in a stern voice.
"Uh, yeah. It's a party."
"What's in there, Tony?"
"... A girl."
Tony was never the kind of person to hesitate (sometimes), so they knew there has been a mess, especially when there's a gigantic ice shards in a mountain.
When the jet arrived, what they saw was chaos. The storm is weirdly stronger there. Shards of ice coming from the ground. The closer they were to Tony, the more dead bodies they see. Man in black clothing, either frozen and break to bits or stabbed by mini version of the giant shards. There's iron base destroyed in the middle of the scene, and Tony standing infront of a man, holding giant gun-like weapon to the head of a girl.
"So you're not alone," the man scoffed.
"Well, we're the Avengers. We're sort of like a team," Tony answered without lowering his hand. "Get the weapon down. Final warning."
The man only push the gun closer to the girl. "Can't you see? Are you b-blind? This thing is a monster! It kills people and it's dangerous."
"It's a she," Thor growled, about to lose his temper. Sometimes Thor thinks that midgardians can be so cruel, despite their pety'ness.
"I am a monster," the girl whispered, making everyone silent. Her tone was cold. The girl is pretty, with blonde hair and brown eyes. "You and your puppets can destroy me from the inside and outside, but..."
The girl spin the man's hand, creating ice shards and lift him up in the air a little.
"You can't destroy my hope to live a life."
In horror, the Avengers watch as the man was frozen with shards entirely, then dropped to the ground and shattered.
