Disclaimer: I don't own InuYasha or any of the characters…if I did Sesshomaru would belong to my friend entirely and would probably be glomped to death, lol.

Annoyances

Lord Sesshomaru was annoyed. The Lord of the Western Lands knew it was below him to even think about humans, but found they were on his mind none-the-less. They were weak in mind and body. They were disgusting and unworthy creatures. Boastful until faced with an enemy stronger than themselves, of which they ran away, scared out of their minds. Their existence proved to be annoying again and again.

And yet his thoughts were of them. Well one in particular, one who seemed to be more work than she was worth.

Winter had set in, the first one to come since Rin had joined the Inu-yukai Lord. Rin had been in no need of shoes or much warmth before now, so when it had started snowing the Lord had not given it much thought. That was until Rin had started falling behind and his sensitive hearing picked up the chattering of her teeth. Normally Rin did not complain and always kept up no matter the speed he traveled. If she was tired or needed sleep she would ride Ah-Un while Jaken held the reins.

Sighing, the dog demon started to regret sending Jaken off with Ah-Un on an important errand. He turned and waited for her to catch up. His face was calm and showed no sign of his annoyance or…worry? He pushed the absurd thought aside and looked down at her trembling form. She watched him smiling brightly, apparently trying to hide the fact that she was cold.

Lord Sesshomaru spoke nothing as he kneeled down and wrapped his pelt around her small body once before picking her up and continuing along the path at a slightly faster pace. She smiled gratefully and snuggled against the warm fur slowly drifting into a peaceful sleep.

Before sleep completely took her she muttered "Thank you, Lord Sesshomaru!" yawning quietly. He glanced at her and as her breathing become slow and even replied, "You're welcome Rin," allowing a small smile to grace his lips, before returning his expression to normal.

Yes, humans were useless creatures, and could not even help themselves from the cold of Winter.

...END

Blaze: Eh, slightly pointless, but it was spur of the moment. I seem to like winter themes cause I have so many written down in my fanfiction notebook, I just don't have them typed…yeah I should get on that after I update…heh. Tell me what you think! Thanks!!
