"Mate, you drop Harry and I'm going to kill you." Threatened James
Laughing I said "I would never, besides if I did it's not you I'd be scared of it's Lily"
"Lily what?" asked lily as she walked in with a bottle in her hand for Harry
"Nothing Lily-Flower" I said charmingly
"Sirius you really got to stop flirting with Lily she's a married women" joked Remus who just walked in the living room
"Ha Ha" I said sarcastically
"I don't need Lily I got Harry wrapped around my little fingers"
"You mean he's got you wrapped around his little fingers" Remus corrected
"Same difference"
"But I mean come on he does look a lot like me"
"No he doesn't"
"Yes he does he's got my chin, see look"
"Guys look at this he really does have Sirius's chin" Lily said
"He better not because you two will have a lot of explaining to do" said James
and with that everybody started laughing
Suddenly Dementors that's all I can see, there everywhere guarding my cell. The smell of the rotten food that has been sitting there for about a week and the horrid smell coming off me are mixed together in the hot muggy tight space. I'm sitting on the cold ground in the same clothes I got years ago they have dirt all over them and some blood from all the sharp rocks I have fell against. I can't really help it every thing just feels so numb.
The Dementor glided towards me, I back away only to hit the concrete wall. It comes up to my face and lifts it's hood. Instantly I can feel all of what's left of happiness disappear. I can see pictures of people leaving my body Lily, Remus, Regulus, James, not James I reach my arms out as if to grab him and pull him to me. Just to touch him, hug him one more time. To hear him laughing and smiling just once, please god have mercy just once, and then they all just disappear and takes over me and my soul is gone and I am left limp against the once cold floor.
"BEEP!"
I jerk awake. Quickly I look around to see I have pj's on I touch my face, my hair it's clean. I sigh in relief, it was just a dream.
"Sirius" yelled James, wait it can't be James, James is dead
"Sirius you up there" that's when I realize it's Harry
I walk down stairs in a haze it's been fourteen years since he died and everyday it eats me alive, that I could of prevented it
I'm at the last step when I see Harry and that's when I know that, Harry is my future and I have to be here for him not luring in my past. It's time to let go.
