Oh, and I don't own Final Fantasy VII or FFVII: Advent Children. Pity.
She Knows
Not really green, he supposed, there was a tinge of blue too...
Cloud gazed into the ribbons of light dancing across the ceiling of the church in which he now spent most of his time.
The colors varied in the main swirling ribbon, switching from the blue of the ocean that reached the coast of Costa del Sol to the color of her eyes.
Ignoring the hard feeling of the wooden floor against his back, Cloud waited patiently, his eyes going from the lifestream to the white light radiating from the make-shift pool to his left.
She was coming.
"Cloud..." He heard the first call, and felt a small smile come to his face. "Are you here?" Her voice seemed to echo around the large space, coming at last to rest upon his listening ears.
He waited for the sound of her footsteps to sit up, but his response what interrupted by the sound of her soft giggle. "Were you asleep?"
"No." He replies, bringing himself to his feet. "You're late."
Another laugh follows, drawing his attention to her face.
She's just as beautiful as ever.
She smiles serenely, tilting her head to the side while leaning in closer. "I know. I sorry."
Cloud simply shakes his head, and she knows he doesn't mind. No matter how late she is, she knows he'll always be here, whenever she comes.
But it isn't often, and it saddens her.
She feels a hand on her forearm and glances down. "What's wrong?" He asks.
Nothing could be wrong. Not here, not now, not ever. He was here, he waited for her. He cared.
Looking up into his mako blue eyes, Aerith grins. "Nothing."
He returns her smile.
YAY! Review!
