Double D closed his eyes tight as he hit the bed, headboard blow being cushioned by his hat. "How can we possibly do this?" He questioned, voice shaking yet still held the usually logic and wonder when he (for once) didn't know something.
"Don't worry, I've read comic books." Imagining the type of comic book that had pictures of things like ithis/i made Double D worry about the world.
"No…no, that's not what I mean." Slim hips jerked up unexpectedly, and Ed smiled, eyes uncannily dark. "I mean…you and I…h-how did we come to this?" His neck was kissed so wonderfully. "We are so different…such opposites."
"So?" Ed positioned his knees on either side of the smaller boy, fists resting on the dark yellow blanket underneath of the genius. He nudged the familiar sock a bit up with his lips, just so you could gently kiss the skin that was hidden away. Skin only he ever got to see. "Tasty."
"Ed…" Double tried to call out, only to squeak it out in a rather undignified manner. But Ed loved it. "You are…a-are creative, and emotional, and…well, you like to get down and dirty let's say." A warm tongue sneaked its way against his ear.
"Oh, dear. Ed, I'm logical, and shy, and so neat and obsessive. Where you are strong and brave," So strong… "I am weak and frail. Where you are big and tall, I'm…me."
"Uhuh. You're you, and that's why I'm doing this with you and not someone else. If Eddy was you then I would want to be with him right now. Of course! Then you would be Eddy, Double D!" He called out with excitement, only to note the buttons still closed on his soon-to-be lover's shirt. And of course they just had to come undone.
"Yes, well, we are total opposites. We shouldn't be together."
"But I love you." Ed's voice was almost small as it spoke the words that took Double D's thoughts away, something more precious than his breath. "And logically," Ed began, pointing a finger to the sky and trying to look as educated as he could, "Things that are the same can't connect together, but opposites can." He smiled.
"…I suppose so." Double D couldn't believe the things that came out of his companion's mouth sometimes. "Ed?"
"Yes?"
"…don't change, okay?" Ed smiled.
"I won't. So long as I have you!"
