A/N: Alright so I thought when we were setting up the prompt list that I wouldn't be doing any of the prompts in the birthday prompt list… I should have known better though! LOL! Prompt: I Didn't Come This Far (Just to Walk Away) – Aaron Tippin
Hotch could tell that Emily was about to bolt and he didn't want to lose her. He refused to lose her. He knew that she was scared but he also knew that after everything they have put into this relationship that if he let he run that she would regret it later on plus he would end up broken hearted. He loved Emily and there was no way he was going to let her ruin their relationship when he knew that she loved him too.
"Emily I didn't come this far just to walk away. I'm not letting you push me away. I love you damn it and I know you love me. Please just let me be here for you." Hotch said. He really didn't want to see the woman he knew he couldn't live without walk away from him.
Emily looked up at Hotch with red rimmed eyes and said "I love you too Aaron. I'm sorry that I'm trying to push you away. I am scared of everything I am feeling. I feel like I'm not good enough for you because of all my baggage."
Hotch shook his head and smiled tenderly at Emily. "Emily you are good enough for me so don't ever doubt that. As far as your baggage goes we all have some. I love you for you Emily and that includes everything you have been through. With each of us being there for one another we can and we will get through anything that gets thrown at us."
Emily bit her lip but nodded. She knew that what Hotch spoke was the truth. They were stronger together as a couple than they were alone. She smiled up at him and then wrapped her arms around him. She really did love this man and she loved him even more after this. Any other man she knew wouldn't have fought so hard but here he was fighting for her. It made her feel even more loved and cherished than before.
Hotch wrapped his arms around Emily and bent his head to kiss her lovingly. He was glad that he got through to her. He didn't know what he would have said next to make her believe in him and in their love for one another.
