Author's Note: This is a thank you to everyone who has been so kind as to read my Mentalist fanfics. I appreciate you greatly, and I wish you a wonderful holiday season. Enjoy! I'll be publishing more soon, but I think we all deserve some nice fun and fluff for the holidays.

She had never expected Jane to rope her into this. She didn't really understand exactly why she had such a soft spot for him.

As she glanced around the apartment, she couldn't help but eye Cho staring intently at Summer across the room while she looked back and dared him with her vibrant eyes. He was already hooked; Summer knew it, but she wanted him to be completely ready. She wanted to make the agent believe he could go into it and not get burned.

Jane and Lisbon were arguing, if you could call it that, over Annie wanting to learn a few more of Jane's tricks. Tommy sat on the sidelines, his eyes wide at the quickness of their conversation. He knew from lots of experience not to mess with his big sister Reese when she was determined. Besides, Jane would probably get his way in the end, and it wouldn't harm anybody.

Grace took a small sip of eggnog and wondered what else might happen in these few moments at this small get-together Jane had badgered her to put on.

"Hey," Rigsby said as he ambled towards her. "Nice party. Good food, too." She couldn't help but laugh at that. Risgby did think with his stomach at times.

"Where's...?" She really didn't want to say her name, but he filled in the blanks.

"She's visiting family. And in a way, this is my family. So I don't mind." He looks down into his empty glass, a wisp of cheer shining in his eyes that he attempts to conceal.

Suddenly, Jane is upon her and mentions, "In a few minutes, we should all have a toast. Fill up your glass again, Rigsby."

Jane sits beside her to take in the room and all its activity. "Is this the Christmas you had hoped for?"

"I don't know what you mean." She shakes her head, but he tells her in her ear, "Everyone deserves to get their Christmas wish granted. I know you didn't want to be alone, but we all found you. Besides, I think you'll be credited for starting the romance between Cho and Ms. Summer." He leans back in his chair, and in the corner of her eye she knows he's grinning widely.

To cover for her embarrassment or acknowledgement that he's right, she calls for a toast, and everyone stands, "Merry Christmas everyone!"

Eyes brighten, jokes exchanged, glasses clinked, and beverages drank (for some eggnog, for others, spiked eggnog).

Before she goes to her other guests, she can't help but turn to Jane again. He gives his signature million watt smile and without any pause whispers, "Merry Christmas to you, Grace. May it be a sign of a better new year." Fondly, he puts one arm around her shoulders and gives a slight squeeze. And then he is gone, to the other side of the room, to joke and perhaps pester Lisbon again.

For the rest of the party, she can't get the smile off her face or the slight blush off of her already rosy cheeks.
