Breakin' The Wall

Get ready for more fourth wall breakin', turnbased adventures as Cloud and Zack realise the awful truth: Once part of something meaningful, they are now reduced to appearing in poorly written pairing fan fiction.

AN: ScarlettHuntress, you asked for it, and you got it. My first ever attempt at a pairing fic. Yes, I'm aware it's really light at the moment, but I looked at what I had, and this was the best chapter break I could get. The next one will be longer.

" I don't believe you." Zack muttered, leaning back in his seat.

" Fine!" Cid exclaimed, " Need proof? Look into Clouds' eyes, see what happens."

Zack obliged, staring intently into Clouds' purple, glowing sight-orbs. An expectant silence fell over the room, and-

The pair drew closer to one another, so close they could –

" Gwah!" Cloud and Zack shouted simultaneously, staggering back.

" Kweh!" Added a Chocobo peering in through a window.

" What the hell was that?!" Cloud yelled.

" The truth of the matter." Cid said simply, " We might as well face the facts here, people. We're-"

" Don't say it." Zack whispered.

" Dear God no." Cloud whispered too.

" We're in a fanfic. A character pairing fanfic."

" NO!" Everyone shrieked.
