Crush the World's Shell:

Prologue

There are worlds beyond the one of the living. Many are bleak, empty places, others filled with horrendous monsters. And at least one likes to deem itself heaven, despite the many bloodstained flaws in its shining facade. This realm is known as Soul Society by its inhabitants. And one beautiful spring afternoon, fourteen years ago, one of those flaws became a breaking point.

There wasn't even time for screams as the ruling body of that realm, known as the Central 46 found themselves cut down so quickly that they did not even realize what was happening. Five figures in pristine white coats walked calmly down halls strewn with bodies until reaching the central information storage areas, occasionally pausing to finish off a moaning body on the floor. While much of Soul Society lagged behind the mortal realm, they did have access to things that resembled computers. This helped the killers find what they were looking for much more quickly.

Light gleamed off the leader's glasses as he flicked through the files reading all the information he could find on Dios and crafting the key to reach its eternal realm. There was no need to copy anything, he would simply remember it. A nod at one of his associates as they left and the entire building exploded in flames, shrapnel raining down for blocks. A trifle melodramatic, perhaps, but it would prevent investigators from being able to tell exactly what he'd been after. And besides, Aizen Sosuke had always loved a bit of melodrama.

Once upon a time in Karakura town, later, but still, many years ago, there was a little princess, and she was very sad, for her mother and father had died. Before the princess appeared a traveling prince, wearing a long white coat. He had a regal bearing and a kind smile. The prince wrapped the princess in a camellia-scented embrace and carefully wiped the tears from her eyes.

"Little one," he said, "who bears up alone in such deep sorrow, never lose that strength or nobility, even when you grow up. I give you this to remember this day." And he handed her a white ring bearing a six petaled flower crest. "We will meet again. This ring will lead you to me one day." Perhaps the ring the prince gave her was an engagement ring.

This was all well and good, but so impressed was she by him that the princess vowed to become a prince herself one day. But was that really such a good idea?

Notes: So, this will be a Bleach-Utena fusion but I'm hesitant to put into crossover because the characters will all be from Bleach and I'm just introducing ideas from Utena. I'm not planning to follow the Utena storyline exactly either, but to use it as a rough guide for where things will start that ends up heavily modified by the fact that different characters, even cast in similar roles, will not react the same as the characters in Utena.
