Prologue
I remember the first day I met Edward we were thirteen and I absolutely…hated him; I don't know what it was about him that I disliked so much. It could've been his penny colored hair, his crooked nose, or those green eyes that made want to melt. I never really figured it out all I knew was that his good looks and charming attitude rubbed me the wrong way.
I remember the U-Haul pulling up in our dreary little town in the house right next to ours, it was 5 am and the sound of people transporting boxes back and forth had woken me up; that was the first strike. My mother Renee was ready to be the "perfect neighbor" with a batch of her black as coal cookies tightly packed in saran wrap and my coat in her hand ready to greet our new neighbors. We walked the short distance to their home when I saw the flash of copper hair that would change my life forever; Edward's mother Esme was the first person to spot us she immediately dropped what she was holding, to give what I expected to be a hand shake but turned out to be a hug to both of us. I was immediately at ease with this woman; she was obviously made to be a mother. I was introduced to Carlisle next and I'm ashamed to say my mother resembled a dog in heat; I think she forgot my father existed when she heard hello slip from his mouth, but I pretty sure I swooned too. They were a beautiful family…well are a beautiful family and they produced the most beautiful thirteen year old I had ever seen.
I know it's short but I'm new and over 1,000 words is not my forte but I'm working on it.
