We were all given a gold medal with our nation's emblem, a handshake from the professor and the visiting diplomat and a diploma. After the ceremony, I and my relatives discussed what this would mean to our parents. I knew that our mother would praise us and our efforts but Father would still complain even if I was awarded control of our whole planet. Mother says he loves us all equally but it seems to me that he cares more for Dezzi since she skipped 3 grades because of her "amazing intellect." She didn't do much, just 1 root-relation worksheet and she's declared "gifted". It's not impressive, she was just showing off what Mother told us.
Our house was very large and impressive for more simple people, I would agree. It had 6 stories, a large force of maids and butlers, a battalion of guards, enough room in the garage to fit a tank or two, an Olympic-sized pool in the back and a heli-pad. It would have been amazing to have a party back there but my parents would kill us if we did. Placing our hands on the scanner, the massive gate luched open. A DNA scanner seemed excessive but Father disagrees. "Oh." Trish exclaims. We face her. "Sorry guys, I can't hang out today. Dad wanted me to come home as soon as the ceremony was over. Bye."
