Occurs shortly after the first episode.
Ianto looked lovingly after the woman. She made him miss his girlfriend that he had hidden away. She was still his secret.
Still, an image of him and Gwen played upon his mind. He could not. He could not bear to be unfaithful to his day dream. He did not hear Jack come up from behind.
"She's off limits."
Ianto noticed him now.
"Tell that to yourself," Ianto shot back, "or is she only off limits to me?"
A dreadful image passed through Jack's mind. Gwen turned him down for Ianto. Never.
"It won't be long before Owen tries," Ianto said.
"He hates her. Thinks she's too weak for this job. Misses Suzie too much."
"He'll do anything for a bit of skirt—eventually."
"Is that all Gwen is?"
"Ask that yourself, Jack. She's not standard Torchwood material, but you took her in."
"We needed someone."
"You need someone."
"Apparently, so do you. She's off limits."
"Not to you, Jack. Even you will break eventually."
