Yesterday
All my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday
Bumblestripe overheard Ivypool and Dovewing talking.
"You have to stop seeing Tigerheart!" said Ivypool.
He slunk away before the she-cats knew he was there.
Suddenly
I'm not half the man I used to be
There's a shadow hanging over me
Oh, yesterday came suddenly
Bumblestripe watched as Dovewing snuck out of camp.
She's probably meeting Tigerheart, he thought. She was.
Why she had to go, I don't know
She wouldn't say
I said something wrong
NowI long for yesterday
Bumblestripe ran through the forest, looking for Dovewing.
Where did she go? He thought.
Yesterday
Love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday
At the Gathering, Blackstar announced that Tigerheart had gone missing around the same time as Dovewing.
Bumblestripe hung his head and lowered his tail, walking away from the crowd.
Why she had to go, I don't know
She wouldn't say
I said something wrong
Now I long for yesterday
Dovewing came to the Clans, with three kits and the new leader Tigerstar.
I can't believe she actually had kits with that fool! He thought.

"I'm going to live in Shadowclan," announced Dovewing.
Bumblestripe felt angry and confused and sad all at once. Then, all of a sudden, it all left him.
"Goodbye, Dovewing," he whispered.
