Hans was thrown into the cell and then he died when his head got cut off by his own brother. He was only one of the many brothers of the Southern Isles. When his head was removed from his body and rolled across the floor, his unseeing eyes landed on his family watching in the distance. The betrayal was strong and he felt it deep within him, just like he felt the knife stabbed deep into his chest, piercing his heart. This was the price he had to pay. He was the one who attempted to kill both the Queen and Crown Princess of Arendelle. And now he's dead.
