It was on these hot, overworked days when Kai Yuujirou really, truly despised Kite Eishirou to a point of wishing death–or rather, a very near-death experience–to him. Kite knew this.
In a way, Kite couldn't blame him. Not since the last time, when Kai had decided to be brave and fight back. He'd yelled at the captain, demanding to know why he randomly worked Kai–and only Kai–harder than usual.
Kite couldn't tell the truth, and had come up with some fake lie that the team believed for whatever reason–mostly, at least, because Kite had to threaten Hirakoba with gouya to keep him quiet–and Kai begrudgingly walked away with his hands in tight fists.
Really, it was simply because on the nights prior, Kite got aggravated at his dreams.
Kite would have dreams that would seem like recaps of the day. The team would have gone to the beach and trained, with some annoying playing in the form of water fights and sand fights thrown in randomly. Then, somehow, it would narrow down to only four: Kite, Kai, Chinen, and Hirakoba. Chinen and Hirakoba would run off to be a couple somewhere–Kite was glad that he didn't know more, even in his dreams–and it would be Kite and Kai. And by the time Kite would awaken, he and Kai would have kissed–or done more. Kite especially hated when these dreams turned into wet dreams.
And so, the next day, Kai would be forced to work harder and harder as revenge for making moves on Kite during his dreams, especially after a wet dream.
Kite wondered if he should tell Kai about his dreams. He was attracted to Kai, and that must be the reason behind them.
But then Kai would do something stupid, like accidentally pelt Kite with a ball of wet sand as he meditated, and Kite would decide he'd much rather enjoy overworking the boy.

Anyway, I think I kept everyone in character–though I don't know if Hirakoba and Chinen are actually a couple, of course, but I would like them to be.
