A/N: So, I'm thinking about writing a multi-chapter Spock/OMC (original Male Character) story called Transfer Student and I'm not quite sure if anyone would be interested in it because I know you are all looking to see more "Just Trying to..." fics, so I decided to put a sneak-peek on here to see how the feedback goes and if you guys like it, I will continue it! Oh, and I do not own Star Trek: 2009/Reboot, but I sure do wish I did...
Transfer Student Sneak-Peek
"You did not consume your blueberries." I blinked up at Spock who was staring at the yogurt-covered blueberries piled on the side of my tray. I looked at the fruit then back at him with a frown.
"I don't like blueberries." I said simply, taking another bite of my parfait.
Spock paused as he opened up the lid to his own parfait. "I had gathered that blueberries were healthy for humans."
"They are." I said as I poked at my yogurt, staring at the blueberries on the tray with a slight grimace. "I just don't like them."
"On Vulcan we eat what we have to in order to remain healthy, whether we like it or not."
I glanced up to see Spock take a bite of yogurt with a big blueberry in it. I shrugged as I ate the last bit of my parfait. "Well, on Earth, humans base their entire everyday meals on the things they like and what they are in the mood for having. I had breakfast for dinner last night when I was at Bones'."
Spock did a literal double-take—he nodded to me, looked at his spoon and back to me with a complete and total bewildered expression in point-seven-seconds. I couldn't help it—I burst into giggles and was almost pounding on the table I was laughing so hard. After a few moments of wheezing and random, short fits of giggles, I had calmed down enough to breathe, my stomach aching and looked back at the still confused Vulcan.
"You don't know what that means, do you?" I asked, slightly breathless, and he shook his head.
"I am unaware." He admitted and I smiled.
"It means I had what you would normally have for breakfast at dinnertime. Like, I had eggs and bacon for dinner." I explained and Spock nodded, looking thoughtful.
"Fascinating. . ." He muttered and I grinned at him.
A/N: Feel free to throw me some suggestions or anything you would like changed (such as a preferred name for my OMC or if you would like it to be in third-person instead of first), and feel free to send in kind constructive criticism! Whoever wishes me to actually turn this into a fic, please say so!
Love from~
