This is a series I've created. Every chapter you'll find two characters dueling for high stakes. I do not own Yugioh. Also, here are the recurring characters:

Chapter 1: AXEL VS. GWEN

"DUELZ!" the two duelists yelled.

"I'll go first," Gwen smirked, drawing her card. Her face lit up.

"I set a card and a monster. End of turn." She ended.

"That's all you got? Well, you better get better than that!" Axel yelled, drawing his card.

"I activate Yami!" I yelled.

"Now my spellcasters & fiends get a power boost!" Gwen seemed a little surprised of the background of the duel, which made my strategy successful.

"Now I'll throw down two cards and summon the Blast Magician!" I yelled.

"Wait'll you see his effect! Now Blast, attack her facedown!"

"No! My petit angel!" she yelped as her angel broke into tons of pieces.

"Your move," I smiled. It was going well.

"Draw!" She screeched, obviously roused by her monster.

"I set another monster and end my turn." She said, unable to know what to do.

"Draw!" I yelled.

"I summon the Miracle Flipper! Now you have to attack it!" I yelled as a tiny wizard materialized.

"Now I'll throw down a third facedown card, and now, Blast Magician! Attack her facedown card!"

A skelengel burst, but Axel cringed. She could draw an extra card.

"Miracle Flipper, attack her!" I smirked. Gwen cringed as a blast of magic hit her. LP: 7500

"End of turn." I told her.

"Draw!" She yelled. Her face lit up.

"I play Level Limit – Area B!"

"Oh shi-" Axel coughed. Now his plan had an error. He couldn't summon his Dark Magician! Only one card would help him now.

"Just in case, I'll also play Swords of Revealing Light! You're not attacking, for three turns that is!" she laughed.

"Now I summon Robolady! Robo Slam on that Miracle Flipper!" She yelled, but I laughed this time.

"Not so fast! I activate Negate Attack! You end your phrase." I smirked. I was safe. For now.

I needed the card, or it would be history. I drew, and almost fainted.

"Sorry Gwen, but your plan…" I stopped for emphasis.

"Is finished! I activate heavy storm!" She gasped. All spells and magic cards were destroyed, even Yami.

"Then, I sacrifice both of my monsters to summon… Dark Magician!" I yelled, throwing a card onto my duel disk. A mighty mage appeared.

"I'll now equip him with the Axe of Despair!" I smirked. His attack points were now 3500.

"And now, for the attack! A dark magic one," I added. Gwen almost fell to her feet at the blow. LP: 4450

"Argh! Draw!" She yelled.

"I play Double Summon, allowing me to summon twice! I set two monsters and end my turn." She smirked. She thought her life points were safe.

"Draw!" I yelled.

"I play my second Yami!" I said, throwing down another field spell.

"And activate Diffusion-Wave-Motion! After losing 1000LP I can attack every one of your monsters, plus yourself! So get ready! Dark Magic Attack!"

Another Skelengel burst, along with a Vampire Lady. She drew one card.

"Now, attack her directly!" I yelled. Axel LP: 7000 Gwen LP: 650

"I set a card and end my turn."

"Oh yeah? I draw, and summon Cannon Soldier! Now, I can attack your directly!!" She laughed, thinking she had turned it around. But she was wrong. After Axel took the points, he was laughing.

"I activate… Attack and Receive!" He yelled, knowing there was nothing she could do.

"You take a grand total of 700LP damage! Therefore… I…" He finished as Gwen stumbled to the floor.

"WIN!"
