The Demise of Haruhi Suzumiya

'A world without its God cannot live on.'

'We are here today, to mourn for the loss of our beloved. Death is merely the first step towards life as she will live in our hearts.'
A black coffin was laid on the front of the room. It's surprising that many people came to her funeral. Well, I guess you wanted your wish, Haruhi. You wanted people to notice you, you got it.
'Now, may one of you stand and speak your last words to our dearly loved. Yes, you, the young man in the front.'
I guess, this is the last time that you can hear me.
'My name is Kyon. I know, that's my nickname but Haruhi here has always called me that. I can't count the times when she used to drag me on the floor to the old clubroom or that she used to pester me about the supernatural. She excelled in everything, from cooking to studying. Even with these quality's, she was still a young teen. A weird teenager, as a matter of fact. She even said told the whole class that she wasn't interested in normal humans, only espers, sliders, and aliens. Well, she never knew that they were so close to her.
Murmurs were heard amongst the crowd.
'She was our beloved; she was an eccentric person whose ideals included me into them, but one fact stays the same. She is gone, in the tightening grip of death. May I offer words of wisdom, as even God can't escape death. Remember death. Momento mori.
The setting faded out along with the world itself. Chaos was unleashed and even the darkest of black holes was gone. Everything was embraced by darkness.
…darkness.

Author's Note: Haruhi Suzumiya doesn't belong to me. I had to do the disclaimer at the end as it will ruin the mood for the story. This was partly inspired by the depressing days of my life and the latin phrase, Momento mori. It mean's remember death.
