Okay everyone here is my newest fic and I know I'm not near done with Public Library, but this is one I had to get started :) I will continue this fic if i feel that there are enough people that want to read it :) This fic is basically about Arnold and Helga as juniors in high school after not seeing or communicating with each other since their fifth grade and one thing leads to another so please enjoy and please review!

For what seemed like the hundredth time, Helga sighed loudly and clutched the opposite end of her desk with her fingers, her face miserably buried in her outstretched arms. It was the fourth day of the new semester. Her second B day and she already knew she didn't like this class at all.

It was filled with what she liked to call 'preps' and other snobby girls who cared to talk about nothing else but tanning and their new cell phones. It made her want to gag. The guys in that class were just as bad as the girls, and even worse at some times.

Second day of that class and she had already almost beat the shit out of a girl named Lacy for commenting on her clothing and also as to why she had what she had on her binder. Three things that you never want to argue with anyone.

Religion, political beleifs, and music.

Definatly music.

Especially when someone was as obssesed with music as she was. With one eye she glanced at the clock through her blonde strands. Three minutes till the class started.

Then she saw him walk in.

Her eyes widened and she quickly straightened up and smoothed her hair with her fingers; trying not to look too obvious. She hadn't talked to him at all since the fifth grade. Of course, she didn't have any feelings for him whatsoever, nor did she care too, or intend too. She looked back on those days and laughed, and was even slightly embarassed by some of it.

But she had changed. Not alot, but alot in some ways. She no longer pretended to be cold , and she was as guy crazy as they came. She was still insanely blunt, but she never talked out unless someone really pissed her off and gave her reason. She never had a boy friend either. It wasn't because no one wanted her, or because she simply didn't try too, but because she didn't care too.

Sure she and Phoebe had many conversations and have talked on and on about that kind of stuff, but she was more of the admire-from-afar type of person. She admired musicians and artists from bands she liked, rather then people she knew personally at her school It was easier that way because then she didn't have to be totally checking out one guy and staring at him in the halls, then later to find out he was a complete asshole. She didn't need that. That would only add more to the dramas of high school. She didn't want to be a part of that either. In the end she decided that high school was elementary school with hormones.

Hiding her eyes behind her bangs she kept her eyes on him; seeing where he would sit. There was a seat next to her open, and a seat in the front row corner. He glanced at the front row, saw who was sitting behind and next to it, made a face, then quickly made his way in the empty seat beside her.

Helga didn't say anything. She tried to keep from a small grin as she sensed that he recognized her. She still didn't say anything, and neither did he.

The bell rang seconds later and the teacher pulled out a clipboard as she began attendance. When she called his name, he simply raised his hand quickly and pulled it back down rather then calling anything out.

"Class..." the teacher began. "The student that you are sitting next too will be your lab partner for the rest of the semester. If there are any problems then please say something now."

No one raised their hands. A faint smile crept onto Helga's face.

It was going to be a long semester.

Review! What more can I say!
