*Deep in space, many light years from earth*
"Heh....Goku....hmph!" King Cold's voice echoed through the ship. "I'll teach that saiyan not to mess with our race!" Frieza's laugh sent chills through the henchmen residing on the spacecraft. Cooler stood staring out into space, an evil glare in his robotic eye. "This time Goku......YOU WON'T GET AWAY!!!!"
*Back at Kame House*
"More please!" Goku attempted to yell as he stuffed his face full of food. "I think you've had enough already" Bulma yelled out, trying to get Goku's attention, but was unsuccessful. Angered by his gluttony, Bulma ran up behind him and backhanded him in the head, causing all of his food to fly across the table. "Hey why'd you do that for!?"
"Because you're not listening to a word I'm saying!" Bulma's face was red with frustration. "Sorry Bulma, I can't think straight when I'm eating." Bulma turned her head away, looking towards the wall, "You're just like Vegeta used to be..." a single tear rolled down her cheek. "Yeah, it's too bad he couldn't be brought back to life" Goku said with the usually goofy look on his face, causing Bulma to smile slightly. "You always knew how to make people smile, even in bad times..." Goku looked confused, but smiled even wider, showing his teeth and causing Bulma to laugh hysterically. "I'm glad your still here Goku." Bulma smiled at him and walked into the bedroom. Goku laughed silently to himself and continued his meal. For some reason Goku couldn't stop thinking about Bulma. Ever since Chi-Chi died, Bulma had been there for him night and day. "I've known her all my life...and I haven't once thought of her like this." Goku thought about it for a long time, not able to figure out what he was feeling. "I wonder if she feels the same way?" Goku shrugged and went on eating. Bulma turned on her side in bed, she couldn't stop thinking about Goku and his goofy smile. "What am I thinking, we're just friends...aren't we?" Bulma thought for a moment. "What would happen if we were together?...we shouldn't both be lonely for the rest of our lives, should we?" Many questions went through Bulma's head that night...until she finally fell asleep...a smile on her face...thinking only of Goku.
She awoke the next morning with the saiyan lying on the floor breathing softly.
She looked down at him and smiled as he moved slightly. "Goku...." "I'm awake, I'm awake!" he said sleepily as he rose to his feet. Bulma stood up and stared at him for a while until she said, "Ok it's time to eat!" Goku jumped suddenly as he rushed into the kitchen and sat down, awaiting his breakfast. They both ate silently, glancing up at each other every few moments. "Goku...I...never mind" she picked up the dishes and began washing them. Goku walked slowly over to her and put his hand on her shoulder. "Is there something you want to say?" he asked in his most understanding tone. "It's just that...well...ever since Vegeta died...I..." she looked up at him her tears welling up inside her. "Don't worry Bulma...I understand..." He moved his face closer to her and she did the same. As their lips met, they each felt a sudden shock go through them. He pulled her closer to him as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She opened her mouth, moaning softly, allowing his tongue to enter her mouth. Goku then picked her up in one swift motion, broke the kiss, carried her into the bedroom, and shut the door behind him...
