After Warrick finished telling Gil about what had happened while he'd been MIA, Gil looked at the clock.
"Warrick, I have to go," Gil said.
Warrick nodded. "Sure thing. Where you off too?"
Gil smiled. "I have a package to pick up at the airport."
---
"Welcome home."
An exhausted Catherine Willows threw her arms around him in a hug. "I love you."
Gil Grissom grinned, hugging her back. "I love you too." He kissed the top of her head. "I missed you."
Catherine leaned up, pressing her lips to his in a deep kiss. "I missed you too."
"You look beautiful."
"You're a flatterer." She kissed him again. "You look very handsome."
"What did you miss the most?" he asked her. "Apart from Lindsey."
She arched an eyebrow. "You know very well."
He put his arm around her as he escorted her down to the baggage carousel. "Humor me."
Leaning into him, she smiled. "Okay. I missed you. I missed you kissing me goodnight and good morning. I missed you holding me in bed at night. I missed you telling me that you loved me. I missed your humor. Your smile. Your touch." She looked up at him. "Want me to continue? Cause I could, you know."
"I hated not having you with me," he whispered, kissing her cheek. "I missed all the same things about you." His hand rested against her butt. "And I missed your tush."
"Gil!" she chuckled. "Cut that out."
"Or what?" he asked, nuzzling her neck.
She whispered in his ear. "Or I'm dragging you into the nearest bathroom and having my way with you."
"Don't tempt me," he whispered back, his fingers stroking her. "Which bathroom?"
"Ladies," she replied. "Did your roaches win? You didn't tell me when you phoned."
Gil pouted. "No. And why can't it be the men's for a change. You always say the ladies."
"Because I'm a lady." She squeezed his hand. "I'm sorry your roaches didn't win. Maybe next year. Try them on some new doggy food."
"I will." He caressed her back. "But I'm a man."
Catherine narrowed her eyes. "Okay, since you're a man, you can pick up my bag just there."
This snapped Gil out of his reverie and he quickly grabbed her back.
"Good boy," Catherine said, patting his shoulder. She smirked. "Maybe I should give you some doggy food."
"Ha, ha," Gil replied. "Is that the only bag?"
Catherine looked at him aghast. "You don't really thing I'd go away anywhere with only one bag, do you?"
"I'm sorry. I don't know where I got that silly idea from," Gil replied. "I liked that phone call the other night."
A broad smile crossed her face. "I know you did. I heard you."
"You were my first," he whispered in her ear.
Her eyes widened. "I was?" She turned around in his arms, looking at him. "You were damn good for your first time. I…" She blushed, realizing where they were.
"I presume that means I did it right," he whispered in her ear.
She nodded. "Uh huh. Very right."
A smug smile came across Gil's face. "Good." His arms went around her waist as they waited for the next bag. "I'm glad my first time was with you."
"Me too," she murmured. A few minutes later she swatted his butt. "Go on, He-Man. That bag is mine."
Gil rolled his eyes and headed over to retrieve the bag. "Now the next one."
Catherine folded her arms. "I only brought two, Gil. Geez, you'd think I packed half my belongings."
Gil wisely kept his thoughts to himself. "Come on then, sweetheart. Let's go."
"How did Warrick go as supervisor?" Catherine asked.
"He did very well," Gil said. "We were just discussing the events when I told him I had to go pick up a package at the airport." He loaded Catherine's bags in the car, then opened the car door for her.
She looked at him incredulously. "You referred to me as a package?"
Gil paused. Oops.
