Ya. Welcome. Now I've never been much of a fan of writing poetry, but we've had a lot of assignments in class in which we had to write poems, and I ended up following somewhat of a theme. At least, in so much as they're all from Full Metal Alchemist. And, wonder of all wonders, I was actually proud of some of them. So I finally broke down and decided to start posting them up here. Now, you may have noticed that most of my stories up here are…um…how shall I put it…taking a lot of time to continue, and I apologize. So here is a nice break, a whole slew of one-shots that I'll put up as soon as I get them figured out. Please enjoy!

'Transgressions'

They screamed

And I trembled.

You merely watched.

You, who had carried their lives

Safe your arm

In bottles of red.

Their souls passed to me

In trinkets and sparks.

You knew, you had to!

We flew through the city,

Gods, in our splendor,

But with no such virtue

As they had to cling to.

The flamed prowled the ground,

Greedy and bright,

And they always seemed

To find children first.

They screamed

And I trembled.

You closed your eyes.

The sky sang red,

The streets ran red.

The walls bled red.

Even the dust

In it's secretive way

Drew in crimson specks.

But through all the screams

Our gloves remained white.

Amidst all the wreckage,

We still could pretend.

But it wasn't enough,

And the world watched.

You watched,

With your cold, quiet eyes.

They were traitors and rebels

And human and crying,

But my fingers clenched

And the bullets flew.

Again,

And again,

And the white of my gloves

Became speckled with red.

And you watched

As beneath the gloves

Was red-stained skin,

And beneath the skin

Was red-soaked flesh,

And beneath the flesh

Was a red-drawn soul,

Broken and quiet,

And you stood by.

They were silent

And I trembled.

You softly walked away.
