Hermione woke up with a groan. Her head was pounding, and her mouth tasted funny. It must have been from all the firewhiskey she had drunk last night, though why exactly she had done so was something that beyond Hermione. The party hadn't been for anything in particular and nothing major happened in Hermione's life that called for it.
It just kind of felt nice to let go.
She rolled over, only to be stopped by a body. Slowly, she turned over to find herself face to face with the one, the only, Harry James Potter.
She shot up like a bat out of hell. Harry, who had just been slowly waking up, realized what exactly was going on, and nearly fell out of bed.
"Hermione?" he asked, in a small voice with big eyes.
She nodded, wondering though if he could even see her as terrible as his eyesight was.
"What exactly are we doing here?" he asked.
"I think we know the answer to that."
Considering the fact that they were both naked, it was very clear what happened last night, when they were both to drunk. Already, memories were coming to Hermione's mind, memories that made her blush with their details.
"Well," he said, grabbing his glasses and looking at her. Carefully, and with great shyness compared to what they had done last night, he grabbed his clothes and dressed under the covers. Hermione did the same. This was awkward. This was so very and truly awkward.
"I don't see anyone else here, so maybe no one has to know. And considering where they might be, there will probably be bigger stories going through Hogwarts."
Hermione doubted that anything Ron, Neville, Dean, or Seamus did could be considered bigger than her and Harry having sex, but she let him continue living in his little world. It was much nicer place than this one.
"Perhaps," she said with a fake smile. Harry must have come to the same conclusion she did, judging by the way he flopped back down onto the bed and groaned.
"What are we going to do?" he whispered. Hermione shrugged as she finished getting dressed.
"I'm not sure," she said, "but we'll get through this the same way we do everything else.
"Together."
