"It's time" The voice whispered within Henry's mind. Henry shivered. He knew this day was coming. They'd been planning it for months. The only problem was he still had doubts. For all he knew this could all be a trick, a trap. He could be causing the end of Storybrook. It was a terrifying thought but deep down he trusted the voice, the voice of the boy he loved. Seven months ago Henry had fallen to his knees in tears. He was forced to watch the death of the only person he had ever been in love with. And worst of all he couldn't tell anyone.

How could he? He couldn't walk up to his mother and say 'Hey mom I was in love with Peter Pan and I know you might not believe it but he loved me too. I know he tried to kill me and take over Storybrook but I think theres still good in him'. They'd think he was under an enchantment and for all he knew he was. Pan had claimed to love him but betrayed him.

After everything on the island, the kisses and confessions of love, Peter had betrayed him. His thirst for power overtook his love. When he had died Henry had thought it was the end. He hadn't expected the repercussions of Peter's death and Peter was just as shocked. Pan had died but not completely. They were linked because Henry had sacrificed himself, giving Peter his heart in hopes they could be together forever. But for some reason when his heart had returned it carried with it a part of Peter. Now Pan was still alive. He lost his body but was pulled into Henry. He was trapped in Henry's mind.

"I know" Henry thought back.

"Henry are you having second thoughts?" Peter asked. Henry didn't respond. "You're worried I'm going to take your heart again." It was a statement.

"I trust you" Henry promised.

"I know you're lying henry."

Henry shook his head. "Of course I don't trust you! I shouldn't even be doing this!" His internal thoughts got louder. "I have to question it because I could be causing the death of everyone I love." Henry sensed the sadness in peter.

"Everyone you love?" Peter asked quietly. Was that what this was about?

"I do love you Peter…"

"But it's not enough to risk your family" Pan shot back. He was angry but Henry knew the anger was just hiding his sorrow. Nether said anything as Henry walked further from the center of town.

"I don't know Peter" Henry finally admitted. "I love you so much but…" Henry sighed, closing his eyes while walking. "I just need to trust you. Why should I trust you?"

"Because I won't fool you or lie to you or hurt you in any way. Storybrook will not be harmed and what I do will be up to you." They both knew what would happen when he got his own body. He'd have to choose. He could leave or he could stay in Storybrook constantly in danger and unable to even show his face. Henry was terrified of what Peter would choose.

Henry's feet carried him down the path he so often traveled. When they reached the mine entrance Henry froze. The potion was boiling close by. He had to choose. His feet decided for him as he entered the cavern. Slowly he made his way through the tunnels he knew by heart. Ten minutes later green light lit a passage. It wasn't a pleasant sight. You're eyes tried to avoid direct contact with the color. Henry closed his eyes. He didn't want to vomit again. Thankfully the potion smelled of barriers and freshly cut grass.

"Are you ready?" Peter whispered.

"I-I think so" Henry stuttered aloud.

"We have to do the spell together."

"I know." They stood in silence, waiting.

"I can wait. You take as long as you need. I don't want to rush you. Just know the potion will only be potent enough for this spell for two and a half more hours."

"I'm ready" Henry hissed softly.

"Are you sure. Please don't rush. I know how hard this is. I…"

"I'm ready" Henry interrupted. Peter sighed but conceded. "On the count of three?"

"One"

"Two

"Three"

Placing Henry's hands above the caldron the two began to chant. "Duì nǐ gēgē de xuè, chún shāo de shāo hè ěr tè shāoshāng. Dài huí céngjīng shì wǒ de. Yùhé hé fǎn xiàng" The words were filled with power echoing off the walls. When potion turned gold Peter and Henry stopped chanting.

"Ready?" Peter asked. Henry nodded. The body they shared brought their face closer to the water. Henry cupped his hand and dunked them in the purple liquid.

"Hūxī zhíbò" Henry growled before taking a long sip from his palms. The world spun and henry vaguely felt himself fall to the ground. Black spots danced in front of him. Even when he closed his eyes he felt like the world was churning around him. What he didn't realize was it was.

The mine began to crack and groan as the rock changed form. The magma like rock slid around the spell, shifting and spinning. The very essence of life and death grinded against each other in this liquid like surroundings. The air turned stiff and Henry began to struggle for breath.

A scream echoed from the lone mouth, slipping through the malleable world to fill the world above.

Raegan and Emma were arguing about Henry when the evil queen felt the power. She stopped mid-sentence and looked in the direction of the spell. Someone was preforming an extreme spell. Even her curse didn't hold this much energy.

"Something's happening" Regina shouted at Emma. The second woman looked confused. She opened her mouth to object but a scream filled the air, a scream they both recognized.

"Henry" Regina shouted. She grabbed Henry's biological mother and transported them close to the energy. When the purple smoke cleared they found Mr. Gold looking calmly at swirling gray energy, flowing out of the mine.

"I would suggest you don't go in there" Mr. Gold said calmly knowing Emma would act without thinking.

"What is this" Regina growled at the man. This had to be his doing. No one else would have this power.

"It appears to be a spell that distorts our land" He stated.

"What the fuck does that mean" Emma snarled. Regina was confused too. She'd never experienced this kind of spell before.

"It means that someone is trying to come back from the dead" He told them. That wasn't the only possibility but the energy signature was clear, slightly distorted but clear. It was Pan.

"Who" Emma gasped before freezing in fear. "Pan"

"We have to get henry" Regina shouted, rushing toward the mine.

"You will die" Gold scolded her. "There is nothing you can do. The spell will rip you to shreds."

"Whats happening to Henry?" Emma asked gripping her gun tighter. Gold glanced at her and frowned. When he spoke actuall sadness coated his words.

"He is being sacrificed. This kind of Spell requires one life for another. He will die. Even if you get to him it's too late." The world fell apart around the two woman. Henry was lost.

"No!" Emma screamed. Light magic burst from her body, driving its way through the silver energy. Nether woman waited. They both catapulted themselves into the closing crevice. Emma didn't know how she was doing it but she was holding it back. There was a bubble around them, unaffected by the dark magic.

"That way" Regina told her pointing to their right. The walls floor and ceiling of the cave were gone, replaced by pure energy. Regina was able to lead them toward the epicenter. Just as they reached it everything shot back to normal.

It looked like a bomb had gone off. The walls and floor were scorched, a cauldron was on its side and a boy lay dead against one wall. "Henry" Emma shouted. The two woman rushed to the boy. Regina began to cast a healing spell knowing it was too late but as she cast it over what they thought was a lifeless body Henry groaned.

"Henry" His moms shouted together, gripping him in hugs.

"The spell must not have work" Emma cried. She felt the boy in her arms go stiff. They didn't expect him to push from their embrace to scurry to his feet.

"What do you mean the spell didn't work" Henry yelled franticly looking in all directions. There was no body! "Peter!" Henry shouted, surprising the two ladies. "Peter!" All three gasped as green smoke billowed from Henry's fingers.

The smoke swirled in a cloud before vanishing. And when it vanished a teenage boy fell to the ground.

"Peter" Henry wept, falling to his knees. His mothers were frozen in shock watching their son take his kidnappers in his arms, stroking his hair lovingly.

"H-Henry" Peter croaked.

"Get away from my son!" Emma shouted pounding. Henry reacted out of instinct. A golden bubble surrounded them.

"Henry" Peter gasped, his legs struggling. Henry helped his lover to his feet. "Henry I have to go" he said hoarsely.

"Peter" the younger boy cried, tears streaming from his eyes.

"I promise I will see you again." Peter whispered. Henry nodded. He knew it wasn't true. He'd been used. He'd been a tool that was it. "You're scared I'll turn evil again?"

"Are you still evil?" Henry asked, looking up into those beautiful green eyes. Pan touched Henry's cheek.

"I want you to know I will never go down that road again. I will always love you." Peter told him. Henry nodded at the empty words. "I trust you Henry so I'm going to give you something" Peter said, his tone serious. All four people waited. Emma and Regina knew he was about to kill Henry. They were trapped and their son was going to die! Peter gasped in pain as he shoved his hand into his own chest. The mine was silent as he ripped a black heart from his chest.

"You're heart?" Henry asked, disturbed by how black it was.

"So I will always be the man you know me to be" Peter said, putting the black heart into Henry's hands. With these final words he vanished in a cloud of smoke. Henry stared at the heat. He needed to put it somewhere his mother's couldn't find it. He had to put it somewhere no one would find it. The heart disappeared just as Peter had but the difference was he knew where the heart was going. It was somewhere no one would look, a secret compartment he added to his sock drawer.

Peter was happy now. He would never be evil again and Henry would always be able to call him home. Because Henry was his home. Henry was what he loved most
