Lover's Lake

Summary: "I had no idea you were such a traditionalist, Kaiba-kun..." Rivalshipping.

At the end of a great date, Yuugi and Kaiba strolled the park, hand in hand. "It's getting dark." Yuugi said. "Yeah, but I'm waiting for something." said Kaiba. "Waiting for what? It's getting dark." Yuugi cried. "I'm waiting for my kiss at Lover's Lake."

"Lover's Lake? Kiss? With who?" Yuugi cried offensively.

"With you, I hope." Kaiba said. "What is Lover's Lake?" Yuugi asked. Kaiba turned him to the large, pristine lake in front of them. The sunset was turning the water pretty shades of orange and red. "Oh, it's so pretty!" Yuugi said. Kaiba looked at his watch, then looked at all of the other couples around them. "It's almost eight o' clock." he said.

"What's at eight?" Yuugi asked, sitting next to him. "Our kiss." replied Kaiba. "What?" Yuugi asked. "Well, there's an old tradition for this lake. At eight o' clock, the park rangers launch fireworks for all the couples here. It got its name, Lover's Lake, because when the fireworks start, if a couple kisses, that means their love is meant forever." said Kaiba.

Yuugi giggled. "I had no idea you were such a traditionalist, Kaiba-kun..." Yuugi said. "The more you learn." Kaiba said. Yuugi and Kaiba looked up as the fireworks began. Yuugi looked at the couples locking lips around them. "What do you say?" Kaiba said. He pointed at his cheek. "Commemoration of a great date?" Yuugi grabbed his face, turning him to face him. "Yeah. On the lips though." Kaiba smiled, leaning in to kiss Yuugi. "Of course." he said.

There, the lovers shared a kiss that could have lasted forever, beneath the beautiful glowing of the fireworks at Lover's Lake.

The End.
