Sacrifice
I had thought I was ready.
We had spent months getting ready.
The moment was upon us.
And I had never been so scared.
The monsters before paled in comparison.
I would have gladly faced all of the trails again.
Suddenly I regretted leaving the king behind.
And refusing the deal.
The battle raged for what seemed years.
It was horrible to watch all of our allies fall.
The time came for me to deliver the blow.
I was scared but I knew I was ready.
I smiled sadly at my rouge.
Gave him one last kiss.
He wanted to stop me.
But I was faster than him.
In war, victory.
In peace, valiance.
In death, sacrifice.
