So I got this idea to challenge myself to write 100 words or less in 10 minutes or less, and then publish it. No betas, no editing, no coming back later to look over it again. Sort of a drive-by publishing, if you will. Because grad school owns my every waking minute (and a significant portion of my sleeping minutes, too), and committing to a full-length fic? Not a possibility right now. I was pretty pleased with the results the first time, so I decided to do it again. And hopefully again and again, which is why I'm labeling this "unfinished". These drabbles (or ficlets, if you want to get all technical, since they're not all exactly 100 words in length) are in no specific order, are not necessarily related to each other in any way, and may be canon or AU. Or both. Or not. You know, just, whatever. I hope you enjoy them :)

"Why?" he asks.

Again. Always again.

And she knows - Why now? Why here? Why me? Why me.

You, who are the pure shining moon. You, who guides me. Roots me.

And her hand, on his chest. On his heart. She is in his heart. Always. Again.

"Because you carry me here," she says.

His hand on hers, rooting. Grounding.

And it is enough. Again.

Author's note: This ficlet was inspired by the poem "i carry your heart with me" by e.e. cummings
