MISSION BRIEFING:
I was the best in the gang. I never failed any mission given to me. for me, no matter what happens… whatever role I have to play… how many hearts I had to break… I just kept my head in the game. I did whatever I was supposed to do… I was loyal, keen and… MERCILESS.
I am the 'Black Cat'. The one who does whatever to get to say, "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"… and now is a chance to get to say it again.
She was here… sleeping soundly… my target, Mikan Sakura, the one and only princess of Japan. All her bodyguards are gone… just as planned… it was perfect… but wait…
I can't move… not a muscle… this was the time I've been waiting for in weeks. All I had to do was to get something to eliminate her and… DONE. I looked at the knife on the table but instead, the thought of her slicing an apple for me crossed my mind. I looked at the pillow I thought I could use to suffocate her but then her face was just too pretty to cover… and when I thought of just strangling her, the thought of her fragrance suddenly paid my mind a visit.
This was the perfect time to carry out my plan and… look at me, I'm blowing it… I'm screwing up…
They said that when one sleeps soundly beside you, it only means that that person trusts you with her life…
She gave me her trust… the trust I had to get according to the plan but the trust I didn't deserve nor wanted to lose…
She trusts me… and as I earned her trust, I lost mine… I doubt myself… my abilities… all the sacrifices I made… all those debts I paid… to be a person with no compassion nor emotion… I see it all… drift away…
As I looked at her angelic face… I could feel peace… I feel no need of accomplishing any goddamn mission. My eyes, once fiery and cold are now… MIRACULOUSLY… softening.
As I realized what was happening… as it sank into my supposedly criminal mind, I shook my head and again tried to focus on the game I was playing…
I took the gun out, as I could not think of any other way of ending this… I pointed it at her… my hand stopped in level with her head… I could see my hand shaking… I could sense my breathing become faster… and little wet things called tears well up in my eyes.
I was about to pull the trigger when…
She suddenly snuggled close to me and mumbled, "I LOVE YOU, Natsume"
A smile was evident at your face that time. I knew at that time that I couldn't do it… I could NEVER do it… I dropped the gun and I let the tears fall… they just had to as I was about to lose the most important person to me… and with my own hands…
I hugged her immediately as all the tears rolled down my cheeks.
"I LOVE YOU!" I cried and she suddenly woke up.
"I LOVE YOU!!"
"I LOVE YOU!!"
"I LOVE YOU, Mikan!!"
She looked at me happily and touched my cheek.. she smiles… " I love you too…"
I caressed her cheek in return and just smiled… a genuine smile…
I leaned down for a kiss and as our lips met… I declare…
"MISSION…………FAILED."

Um… guys, can I ask you something? (well, I'm already asking you right? Haha) um… what would you do if you want to patch things up with a really close friend of yours whom you had a fight with? You might really think it's easy but I tell you, IT'S SO NOT!! But I really want to take things back to the way they used to… it's gonna drive me insane anytime soon!! And if that happens, I won't be able to submit any stories… HELP!!
