Hey everyone! This is my first Fic, so here goes nothing! I do not own My Babysitter's A Vampire or Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls.

"She is finally asleep," Sarah announced collapsing on to the couch next to Ethan.

Ethan looked up from the book he was reading and smiled, "How many stories did it take this time?"

Sarah rolled her eyes and groaned, "Four."

"Well at least it wasn't six like last time,"

"You're reading to her next time,"

"No, she really likes it when you read to her," Sarah just leaned her head back and closed her eyes. They sat in companionable silence for a few minutes before Ethan spoke up, "Sarah, will you do me a favor," She looked over at him signaling him to continue, "Well, you know that dance tomorrow-"

Sarah stood up quickly and interrupted him, "Oh, no. I am not pretending to be your date to make some girl jealous!"

Ethan stood up also, "No, no, it's not that. It's just- I can't- I don't know how to slow dance," Ethan finished looking up sheepishly.

"Oh- really?" Sarah asked and when he nodded she broke into an uncontrollable fit of laughter.

"Stop! It's not that funny!"

"Yeah, it is. You know I could teach you if you wanted,"

"Yeah, sure, thanks," Ethan stumbled over his words and stared at his feet.

"We're gonna need music, you know," Sarah spoke up to break the tension. Ethan nodded and quickly went over to the stereo. While he was doing that, Sarah walked to the light switch and muted the lighting in the room. They met each other halfway on the floor as Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls floated through speakers throughout the room, "Okay, you put your hands on my waist," Sarah began as she wrapped her own arms around Ethan's neck, "and now we just…" She trailed off as she looked into his eyes and something there made her forget to continue talking. Sarah hesitantly laid her head on Ethan's chest as he pulled her closer and rested his cheek on top of her head.

"Hey, we're-" Ethan's mom called as she opened the door, but broke off as she spotted the dancing couple who seemed to be in their own world. "Honey, look," she said to her husband.

"Let's let them alone," he responded ushering up the stairs. Ethan and Sarah continued to dance until the final notes of the song rang out.

Sarah stepped away from Ethan and began almost reluctantly, "I guess I should be going."

"Yeah," Ethan watched as Sarah grabbed her things and then he walked her to the door, "Thanks for the lesson."

"Yeah, no problem. I guess I'll see you tomorrow," Sarah responded walking onto the porch.

"Sure, see you."

"Bye." Ethan kept the door open until Sarah disappeared around the corner.

So, what do you think? Please review and let me know if I should add another chapter. I already have an idea for one.
