"Dean you are not driving. Give me the keys.

"I'm fine. I can drive."

"You've lost too much blood and until I can get that stitched properly you are not driving."

He continued to protest.

"Dean Winchester! Give me the fucking keys so I don't have to take them because I can and will."

"Bullshit."

She put one hand on his chest and pushed him back. He stumbled slightly and caught himself on the passenger side of the Impala. Before he fully registered what happened he felt her hand slip in his jeans and pulled the keys from his pocket. She just gave him her patented 'I told you so' look and moved around the front of the car.

"Get in the car, Dean."

He acquiesced. He watched her closely as she turned the key in the ignition and the engine roared to life. She threw it in reverse and punched the gas. She didn't turn around but just used her mirrors to guide herself back towards the doorway Sam was about to exit from.

With perfect timing, Sam emerged through the door, glancing behind him then up at the approaching car. She stopped the car long enough for Sam to fold his tall frame into the back seat. She punched the gas, again not turning around.

She reached the cross street just as the first flames were visible at the windows of the building. Without missing a beat, she swung around the corner, threw it in drive and gunned it. The engine growled.

The occupants of the car were silent and vigilant until they hit the interstate. Everyone visibly relaxed as they crossed into the next town. She increased speed a bit and started moving through traffic with ease. Without taking her eyes off the road she switched the radio on and selected the cassette adapter for her music.

AC/DC floated out of the speakers. They got half way through the song and Dean reached over to change the music. Her hand shot out and smacked Dean's. Even out of the corner of her eye she could see the shocked look on his face. She pointed at him without turning and said,

"You know the rules, Winchester. Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole."

Sam's laughter filled the car. She couldn't help but smile along as she cranked up the volume.
