Yule Ball Disasters

"Let's trade. I like yours better." Pleaded Ron.

"Are you kidding? No way!" Harry snapped.

"Why not? It's not like you are dancing with her."

Harry did have to give that fact to Ron. He hadn't been dancing with Parvati. Parvati was a last minute choice. He couldn't take the person he really wanted to take to the Yule Ball. He honestly didn't want to take anyone but as a competitor of the Triwizard Tournament he had to have a date and Parvati was the only one in his house available. Parvati agreed, knowing she probably wasn't Harry's first or even 50th choice, as long as Ron would take Padma.

"Because it is rude Ron, That's why!" Whispered Harry. "If you liked her so much why didn't you ask her to the dance?"

"I didn't like her then, and it's not like I chose to come here with Padma. I did this for you as a favor" Whined Ron.

"Seriously? I can't believe we are having this discussion. You were complaining everyone had a date to the ball but you! We are not trading! You don't trade people like you trade chocolate frog cards!" Harry was getting annoyed.

"Can we atleast trade for one dance? I don't see what the big deal is! It's not like you like Parvati! You have barely spoken to her and just did the required dance and been sitting here since then!" Ron replied while glancing at the twins sitting across from him looking extremely bored.

"Fine Ron, one dance! But don't say I never did anything for you!"

But before Ron could rejoice he noticed the twins standing up and starting to walk away.

"Oi! Where you two think you're going?" Ron demanded.

"Away from you" Parvati replied

"But you have to dance with me now!"

"I don't have to do anything" Parvati said icily

"But Harry said we could trade dates, so you are mine now!"

Parvati fixed Ron with an incredulous stare, before storming away with her sister.

"Honestly," Ron said looking at Harry. "I will never understand girls. I don't understand what the problem was!"

Harry just shook his head before turning back to the dance floor and watching the Weerd Sisters play on stage.
