Story One
Rene Brimstone: Maiden of Weapons
Prologue
A young Rene stood there and watched as her mother fell to the ground in pain. She wanted to run to her to help her. But she couldn't. She was too small, too weak, too young, and the knife at her throat and fear in her soul kept her in place as she watched her father beat her mother. Her mother never made a sound as he beat her. Mulan was taking this beating, so that her daughter would not have too. Her husband, Eric, wanted to turn her daughter into a weapon, just as her father had done to her. Mulan spoke out against it. She would not have her daughter become a killer.
Rene or Cherry Blossom as Mulan liked to call her was too young, too innocent to know how to kill. And Mulan was not about to change that. She would take the beatings, she was use to them from her father and her husband, and she could handle the killing. She'd do it so that way her daughter wouldn't have too. She knew what that kind of thing did to one's soul. It shattered it and there was no way to get it back. Some people went mad from it, enjoying the power they felt over killing someone, having someone's life in their hands. They felt like a god. Other's killed themselves to get away from the same and guilt they felt every day.
"My daughter will do as I say, do you understand me whore?" Eric yelled at her. He was livid when she spoke out against him; even had the nerve to yell at him, telling him the man of the house what his daughter wasn't going to do. He was the man, he gave the orders. She was only there to give him children and tend to him. And she couldn't even do that righ!. He would have stopped if she hadn't looked up at him with those defiant eyes he thought he'd never see again and said one single word.
"No." He lost control then. And he rapped her and killed her. Right in front of his own four year old daughter. When he was done, he looked at his daughter; she was crying, giving heart wrenching sobs and calling out to her mother in a vain attempt to wake her.
Her mother didn't move, she just laid there on the ground, her chest did not rise and fall, not even a little. She bit down on the man's hand and he withdrew the knife, and Rene ran as fast as she could to her mother, shaking her as hard as she could call out to her, praying that her mother would open her eyes. She didn't. Now she was alone. Utterly and completely alone, with the Devil she called a father and his demons. The moment she saw her mother die, she knew that she would no longer know kindness, love, or affection. All she would ever know now is pain, anger, and hatred.
"Get that little bitch in her room, and take the whore and dump her body somewhere no one can find it." The Devil said behind her. She felt one of the demons grab her, she kicked and bit, not removing her hands from around her mother, not wanting to let go. Then she felt a stinging slap against her cheek, it was hard enough to knock her out, the last thing she thought before she let the darkness take her was.
"Why did you have to leave me, Mommy?"
